ROLE INSIGHT

Keeping customers at the core, our product team at Watchfinder is responsible for defining the product strategy, build and manage the short-long term roadmap across the many products within the Watchfinder product portfolio, that spreads across our omnichannel customer facing applications to the ones that supports the day-to-day operations.

Reporting to the Global Head of Customer Experience, you will be part of the wider Product organisation at Watchfinder, driving state-of-the-art omnichannel customer experience.

You will ensure that users have an amazing experience at every step of the journey when visiting our digital real estate. You’ll be able to produce great design, great UI, and outstanding customer experience through optimisation of our digital touchpoints. A successful UI/UX Designer at Watchfinder will be able to demonstrate expertise in defining user experience by validating design recommendations and solutions with data and insight. Experience with HTML, CSS and Javascript is desirable alongside exposure to the various frameworks: JQuery, Bootstrap, HTML5 Boilerplate, CSS3 (OOCSS).

You’ll be a master at balancing the needs of the business with the needs of the end user while focusing on the key priorities defined within the Product Backlog.

 

 

How will you make an impact?

  • Work with UX and product teams to ensure delivery roadmaps are fully supported with an iterative design process.
  • Materialise customer journeys through the creation of designs, user flows, wireframes and prototypes defining interactions, layouts, and functional components to support template definition.
  • Present your deliverables to gather feedback and build consensus. Document your solutions for others to implement and collaborate with developers to check and refine coded designs
  • Evaluate the user experience of the site through Google Analytics and provide regular reports to the business evaluating page performance and identifying opportunities for optimization
  • Manage Watchfinder’s design system to ensure a consistency approach to design, development and brand identity considering opportunities to optimize and scale and grow component libraries to offer a better experience to the end user.
  • Manage and facilitate focus group activities to ensure assessments are effectively run, feedback captured and analysed to help prioritise UX improvements
  • Work alongside Product leads to create a culture of testing and validation by supporting deployment of optimisation tests to achieve clear outcomes.
  • Work closely with data and product management teams to validate assumptions, prioritise optimisations and ensure that UX/UI solutions are clearly defined to support roadmap.
  • Conduct regular market analysis, keep up to date with technology innovations to stay ahead of the curve and provide a great UX to our customers
  • Work with growth and product teams on product discovery sessions and create high level user journeys for new product opportunities where relevant
  • Work with CX and boutique teams to optimise the digital experience at our retail boutiques

 

 

How will you experience success with us?

  • A creative problem-solver who thrives in a fast paced, collaborative environment
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with a strong portfolio of UX design projects
  • Experience with HTML, CSS and Javascript is desirable alongside exposure to the various frameworks: JQuery, Bootstrap, HTML5 Boilerplate, CSS3 (OOCSS)
  • Proficient in industry standard design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Invision, Sketch etc.) and knowledge of UI (HTML, CSS, front-end) an advantage.
  • Experience with performance and behaviour analytics tools such as Google Analytics, and Hotjar, would be a benefit
  • Excellent interpersonal skills 
  • A great team player: Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders with a positive outlook
  • Familiar with analytics, SEO, and optimisation practices with a working knowledge of how techniques can be used to improve conversion and drive engagement
