Merchandiser 

(Permanent Full-Time)

 

How will you make an impact? 

The Merchandiser will help maximise sales and opportunity by assisting in our commercial teams by providing valuable insights from data and stock whilst building relationships with the teams across our regions.

This position Is brand new into the organisation. Giving someone the opportunity to join us on an amazing journey of evolving Watchfinder, as we have strong ambition to grow! We welcome new talent to help us achieve our goals while always challenging the status quo.

 

  • Using data to optimise the sales volume and profitability of all product areas
  • Work closely with Purchasing and Finance to produce analysis of stock holding and purchasing process for regional model stocks
  • Specifically analyse “old” or slow-moving stock to identify current stock items that need reducing and make informed recommendations for action
  • Analyse purchasing, stock & performance per category/price/country and advise senior commercial management on areas to dial up and dial down focus
  • Identify in real time adjustments to be made to automated quotes based on conversion and output
  • You will report on trends and product performance weekly and find ways to optimise commercial activities
  • Use analysis of competitors pricing to advise on adjustments in quoting or pricing for the website (country specific)
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to strive to improve and challenge existing processes 
  • Communicate accurate information to internal Sales and Marketing teams for use in the production of marketing plans
  • Partner with the wider marketing team and analytics team.
  • Develop and maintain a dynamic communication flow with Logistic, Purchasing and our servicing teams to ensure full alignment is maintained at all times.
  • Producing weekly/monthly reporting packs and any required ad Hoc Analysis in view of monthly meeting schedules.

 

How will you experience success with us? 

  • A track record of creating positive impact on business through merchandising, ideally gained in a multi-brand retailer 
  • Organised with a true understanding of the importance of detail and accuracy of information
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and understand significance of actions
  • Ability to work independently, with a positive “can do” attitude
  • Numerate, accurate with sound analytical skills, you will have ninja level Excel skills.
  • Ability to present information and ideas clearly to your wider team and commercial leaders.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and cross functionally (Essential)
  • Self-motivated (Essential)
  • The Confidence to deal with/present to colleagues at all levels of the business 
  • Good judgement and decision-making skills 
  • Confidence in suggesting calculated risks 
  • Multi-region / market exposure and experience
  • Understanding of KPIs that achieve success within an online retail organisation
  • Experience interpreting reports and data
