Data Engineering Internship

Duration: 12 weeks

The internship programme is geared toward a structured learning environment giving students direct experience in working on real problems within a supportive team environment.

Whatever the project or team you join, you’ll be part of a collaborative, supportive group where you can learn from some of the best minds in the industry. You’ll learn new technologies and implement your ideas to produce tools and solutions that directly impact our business operations.

Please note, this role is currently based at our Kent HQ and there is a requirement to be on site four days per week.

Here are a few examples of the advanced functional and technology challenges that you will be involved in:

• Analyzing requirement needs to create new data products (analysis, reports and dashboards) or to improve existing one(s).
• Have direct contact with the end-to-end data pipeline: from sources (raw tables), data ingestion pipelines, data transformation, business intelligence and metadata management.
• Work directly with a cutting-edge data architecture, based on cloud computing and using the most famous tools in the market.
• Discover, share, and learn with data specialists (analysts, scientists and engineers) the best practices and methodologies on managing and using data for real business purposes.
• Brainstorms to discuss new ideas and present them to the Data and other teams.
• Put in practice everything you learned about data in a real business environment.

In Order to be successful in this role you will have:

• Currently studying a degree in Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Data Science, Software Engineering or Computer Science
• Basic understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile Principles.
• Basic understanding about Data & Analytics processes and relational databases
• Basic knowledge on SQL and Python programming languages.
• Willingness to develop and learn.

Your Journey with us

Once you’ve submitted your application, our Talent team shall review and shortlist your application. You with then be invited to participate in a recorded video interview which will be sent out straight to your email. In this, we would like you to answer a few questions via video and one written.

If you’ve met our criteria, you will then be move forward to the next stage and be asked to complete another assessment. These will be sent via an email link and will give us further information on your application.

We will then do a final review of your application and if successful, invite you to an Assessment Centre.
