Founded nearly 20 years ago, Watchfinder & Co. is now the most trusted and largest preowned watch destination in the UK. The company operates through its high-performance e-commerce channel and through a network of efficiently run retail stores and showrooms.  In July 2018, the company was acquired by Compagnie Financiere Richemont, which owns several of the world's leading companies in the field of luxury goods, with strengths in jewellery, watches and writing instruments. Since early 2019, Watchfinder has embarked on an exciting expansion strategy and now is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Chief Commercial Officer to scale the organisation to the next level.

Watchfinder currently has an international footprint in 7 Markets, (UK, US, Switzerland, France Germany, Italy and Hong Kong), and digitally sells in 37 Markets. New Markets soon to come onboard are in the Middle East.

This role represents a huge opportunity for a talented commercial individual to play a key part in the development of Watchfinder globally. 

 

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) is responsible for developing strategic and commercial plans that will enable the achievement of Watchfinder’s  sales targets and business growth aspirations.

The role holder is also accountable for developing and delivering on the Purchasing objectives which underpin sales growth and product profitability.

The CCO owns the sales performance and is primarily responsible for sales conversion through all channels, collaborating with Marketing, as well as Product, Data and Customer experience teams and leveraging operational capabilities to deliver for the Customer across all markets.

 

  • Development of the annual sales plan that aligns and underpins the WF strategy to achieve business objectives over the short, medium, and long term.
  • Responsible for managing sales operations through Retail and digital platforms, meeting sales targets and estimating sales profits for products, customer segment and geographies.
  • Critically links Marketing and Sales to drive traffic to the products and categories that secure the highest revenues, ROI, profitability, and customer relevance.
  • Owns product purchasing activity and exploits new opportunities to increase purchase power in all markets.
  • Manages the stock accessibility, ensuring the highest stock rotation and profitability.
  • Directs implementation and execution of global sales policies and practices identifying and developing all process and performance improvements and cost efficiencies.
  • Develop and promote weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales objectives to ensure sales activities are focussed on delivering the business objectives.
  • Drives sales and profit for current and new products, as well as current and new customers.
  • Manages the retail stores and platforms, and the evolution of the sales channel in our existing and new markets.
  • Develop wealth creating partnerships which enhance business profitability and customer retention with Richemont Maison’s and external partners.
  • Constantly aligns with Marketing and Product for a cohesive go-to-market strategy.
  • Assess costs, competition and supply and demand to feed into purchasing pricing.
  • Fully leverage all enablers for sales growth across the business, ensuring that potential is maximised to drive profitable revenue and sustainable growth.
  • Applies the insight derived from relevant data to improve sales performance. Equally embraces the use of technology to improve efficiency and enhance our market position serving the needs of the Customer.
  • Provide strong leadership, to the Watchfinder brand, inspiring and motivating the teams to execute and deliver business objectives and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
