Over a year ago, there was no data team at Watchfinder. Over the past year, it has grown ten-fold, from 1 Data Scientist right up to 6 FTE. Now we’re looking for someone to join the team to take the company through a data transformation phase. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced insights and analytics specialist to join the organisation at the very beginning where you can have a say and input on key strategic data decision for the business and Lead analytical discussions and influence the analytical direction of the various departments at Watchfinder.


Data I hear you say? We’ve captured every single piece of data over the years, so there are lots to get stuck into. If you are as passionate about data as we are, then I’m sure you would love to get your teeth stuck into the monstrous datasets we have.

The fun doesn’t stop there, we have some amazing tools and innovation projects boiling away, you will come across these during your time here. Think Image recognition, AR & AI – we’ve got you covered on ticking the project box of new/cool and exciting things.

How will you experience success with us?

  • A passion for the luxury industry and Watchfinder with a curiosity for understanding how things work in the disruptive pre-owned industry
  • Practical experience in coding languages e.g. Python, R, Scala, etc. (Python preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in database technologies e.g. SQL, ETL, No-SQL, DW, and Big Data technologies e.g. pySpark, Hive, Hadoop etc.
  • Your passionate about data and love to spread this passion to help your team grow and develop further
  • Advanced knowledge in using Power BI to serve business-wide reporting
  • Experience with a statistical toolkit (i.e. Python/Pandas, R, Spark,).
  • Experience in using Cloud technologies AWS and GCP Data Lakes

Due to the current restrictions around Covid-19, it's likely that all interviewing shall be done via Video Call software. Our Talent team shall help & guide you through these processes and how to get connected. For the successful applicant, we are following a WFH approach initially, with the possibility of returning to the office one or two days per week.


1. Application shortlisted, our Talent team shall connect with you to have an introductory call to discuss your experience in more detail and give you a full overview of the role and how it sits within the department.

2. Call with our Chief Technology Officer & another team member, this could also include a short assessment to complete if successful after this stage

3. Final interview with the CTO & HR Representative
