Since early 2019, Watchfinder has embarked on an exciting expansion strategy around the world. In addition, it is providing exciting new solutions to the new watch retail world, offering showrooms and boutiques which offer a combination of interactive and technology experiences for our clients to acquire or exchange luxury timepieces. We have successfully launched in five new global territories including, Hong Kong, New York, Paris, Munich, and Switzerland in just over two years

 

We are now currently recruiting for a Customs and Trade Compliance Manager to join our passionate, lively and customer focussed Logistics team 

You will be at the hub of the business, ensuring that all international shipments between our different legal entities around the world are handled efficiently in compliance with local laws and regulations when crossing borders. Ideally, you will have a proven experience in managing cross border and customs flows within the logistic department of an international business or within a customs broker company.  

Role Insight

  • Lead the expertise of the company on customs and trade compliance at international level, and support the international teams accordingly
  • Organizing international shipments, temporary and permanent import & export processes between our legal entities worldwide
  • Identifying and implementing optimized shipment solutions that allow reducing lead times and complying with local customs regulations
  • Implement internal procedures to ensure compliance with local custom and trade regulations
  • Lead trade compliance initiatives associated to the development of our business in new territories and new business areas
  • Liaise with customs authorities and couriers’ agents to facilitate flows
  • Liaise with trade compliance experts at Group level to enhance our practices and processes
  • Monitor evolution of customs and trade compliance laws to anticipate evolution of our practices

 About you…

  • Experience working in a customs related role within an international organization preferably in high value transport
  • Excellent knowledge of international transport procedures (CITES, Customs, Tax.) and HMRC / EU customs regulations
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, ability to work transversally with other departments and countries
  • Excellent organisation skills, fast reaction and able to prioritise
  • Customer focussed, with a proactive hands-on attitude
  • Previous experience of working on ERP and online shipping solution tools
  • Experience of liaising with third-party logistics companies
  • Master’s degree in Logistics & Transport (HND), in business, systems engineering, or supply chain management is preferred or an equivalent period of experience in a relevant role
