Keeping customers at the core, our product team at Watchfinder is responsible for defining the product strategy, build and manage the short-long term roadmap across the many products within the Watchfinder product portfolio, that spreads across our omnichannel customer facing applications to the ones that supports the day-to-day operations.

Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you will be part of the wider Product organisation at Watchfinder, driving state-of-the-art omnichannel customer experience.

You will ensure that users have an amazing experience at every step of the journey when visiting our digital real estate. You’ll be able to produce great design, great UI, and outstanding customer experience through optimisation of our digital touchpoints, with regular validations with our end users. A successful Lead UI/UX Designer at Watchfinder will be able to demonstrate expertise in defining user experience by validating design recommendations and solutions with data and insight. Experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript is desirable alongside exposure to the various frameworks: JQuery, Bootstrap, HTML5 Boilerplate, CSS3 (OOCSS).

You’ll be a master at balancing the needs of the business with the needs of the end user while focusing on the key priorities defined within the Product Backlog.

 

How will you make an impact?

 

  • Lead the design of B2C and B2B web applications from concept to launch.
  • Define and execute a comprehensive design strategy aligned with the overall business goals and user needs.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and design principles to drive continuous improvement in design processes to ensure an enhance customer experience for our clients.
  • Manage Watchfinder’s design system to ensure a consistency approach to design, development and brand identity considering opportunities to optimize and scale and grow component libraries to offer a better experience to the end user.
  • Materialise customer journeys through the creation of designs, user flows, wireframes and prototypes defining interactions, layouts, and functional components to support template definition.
  • Collaborate with wider product and data teams to ensure delivery roadmaps are fully supported with an iterative design process.
  • Work with growth and product teams on product discovery sessions and create high level user journeys for new product opportunities where relevant.

 

 

How will you experience success with us?

 

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects and a track record of leading design teams.
  • Proficient in industry standard design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Invision, Sketch etc.) and knowledge of UI (HTML, CSS, front-end) an advantage.
  • Experience with performance and behaviour analytics tools such as Google Analytics, and Content Square, would be beneficial.
  • Proven experience in working with design systems and leading design processes.
  • A creative problem-solver who thrives in a fast paced, collaborative environment.
