Are you a good match?

For this role, we are looking for the ideal candidate to have a bachelor’s degree, with a BA/BS in Architecture or Construction being preferred. This candidate should have a minimum of 5+years of solid retail construction experience, specifically in a luxury goods retail environment. Prior Project Management experience is essential, including budget management and effective negotiation skills. Strong organizational, communication, and administrative skills are critical, along with excellent computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Acrobat/Bluebeam Revu. The ability to travel internationally and domestically at least 30% of the time is required, and a valid US. Driver’s license is necessary. Knowledge of French is a plus. Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills will be vital for success in this position.

 

What are we expecting from you?

 

Reporting to the Director of Store Planning and Construction, you are responsible for managing and overseeing the construction and remodeling of boutiques and facilities in the Americas (USA, Canada, LatAm). This role is based in New York City.

 

In this role, you will have the following responsibilities:

 

Project Planning

  • Effectively implement and reinforce brand design and image, construction & maintenance project standards 
  • Develop and manage overall project schedules, design development phases with local architects, budget and cost control, procurement, site construction to ensure the projects are completed within budget, on schedule and to the Maison’s quality standards 
  • Oversee construction document completion and review shop drawings to produce take-offs for owner supplied materials and to maintain standard operating procedures & established construction timelines & budgets 

 

Execution  

  • Track all project deadlines, budgets, deliverables including owner-supplied items 
  • Manage architects, contractors, other consultants, retail & wholesale partners for all Store Planning projects to maintain corporate policies & procedures 
  • Coordinate and manage all phases of new or temporary store construction and remodels including overseeing of quality control, budget proposals and project closeout
  • Coordinate the production and installation of millwork for all Store Planning projects 
  • Work in conjunction and coordinate with internal Operations, IT, Security and Finance departments for all projects 
  • Perform periodic site visits and inspect progress of construction jobsites
  • Ensure completion of punch lists, smooth handover to internal departments and proper close-out of all projects 

 

Efficiencies/Strategic Initiatives 

  • Assist in benchmarking local sourced materials, vendors, and contractors 
  • Help build, develop & grow existing and new local suppliers’ network and business relationships 
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope and devise contingency plans/options when applicable 
  • Perform periodic site visits and inspect progress of construction projects 
  • Ensure completion of punch lists and proper close-out of all projects

Expected Salary Range- $110k-$135k

 

This role is annual bonus eligible.
