Role Overview

 

The Project Manager for Store Planning will partner with key cross-functional stakeholders to gather pertinent store information for approvals and design launching. This person will be responsible for store design & construction project management. As a key member of project execution team, this person will be accountable to control and reinforce the brand image for both retail and wholesale networks. This role is reporting to the Director of Store Planning and is based in NY.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Manage architects, contractors, other consultants, retail & wholesale partners for all Store Planning projects to maintain corporate policies & procedures
  • Effectively implement and reinforce brand design, construction & maintenance project standards
  • Read construction documents and shop drawings to produce take-offs for owner supplied materials and to maintain standard operating procedures & established construction timelines & budgets
  • Coordinate and manage all phases of new or temporary store construction and remodels including overseeing of quality control, budget proposals and final account settlements
  • Track all project deadlines, budgets, deliverables including owner-supplied items
  • Coordinate the production and installation of millwork for all Store Planning projects
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope and devise contingency plans/options when applicable
  • Work in conjunction with internal IT, Security and Finance departments for all construction projects
  • Perform periodic site visits and inspect progress of construction projects
  • Ensure completion of punch lists and proper close-out of all projects
  • Support and track all repair and maintenance and cleaning responsibilities and budgets for existing store network
  • Assist in benchmarking local sourced materials, vendors, and contractors
  • Help build, develop & grow existing and new local suppliers’ network and business relationships

 

Qualifications

 

  • Ideal candidate will have a minimum 5-8 years of solid retail construction experience in a luxury goods retail environment
  • Prior Project Management experience including budgets & negotiation skills
  • Architectural knowledge is a must
  • College Degree in related areas is preferred – BA/BS in Architecture and/or Construction is desired
  • Must have excellent computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office with experience in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Bluebeam, Acrobat
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organization, follow up and problem-solving skills are required
  • Creative ability; able to “think out of the box”
  • Ability to travel internationally & domestically, at least 30% of the time
  • Knowledge of French is a plus

Expected Salary Range: $110-$120K annually

Salary will be negotiated based on relevant skills and experience.
