Role Overview:

This role is responsible for orchestrating the Maison product strategy in the Americas (USA, Canada, Brazil) in close alignment with the global vision across all product categories (High Jewelry, Jewelry, Timepieces and Engagement). Guarantor of the product expertise and global alignment, the Director, Product Marketing leads the transversal efforts around product launch introductions and range animations with all other departments (Retail, Supply Chain, Communications). Drawing from sales analysis and deep understanding of market and context, he/she/they are a key contributor to the sales objective setting, monitoring and reporting, as well as strategic planning for the Americas region, and provides feedback to headquarters teams.

Skilled with strong leadership, he/she/they inspire and develop a team of product experts. Applying a customer-centric approach, this individual ensures boutique network is supported in their daily product-related needs.

 

This person will report to the AVP, Marketing & Communications and is based in New York City.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and implement Marketing strategy across product categories in line with global and local business directions
  • Collaborate with the International Marketing team on all Marketing aspects and business topics – align with global launch calendar and animation strategy and provide feedback on local adjustment and specificities
  • Orchestrate product strategy adapted to local context in collaboration with regional departments (Retail, Communications, CRM, Supply Chain) to reach business objectives. Plan launch calendar and activations, support events and animations with product selection and training, ensure balance and adequate support to each product category
  • Lead and inspire team product segment experts in their roles to further their contributions to the business
  • Participate in the definition and implementation of the strategic plans
  • Provide sales, market, and trend analysis to help direct and develop local strategies
  • Work with Retail and Supply chain to create and maintain budget and LE projections
  • Ensure that the unique and rare stock is purposefully leveraged to maximize client opportunities and sales potential
  • Ensure daily business needs and special events are supported with product information (Picus, Intranet, Price Lists, Event Booklets, Product expertise trainings) and client facing tools
  • Manage department budget and T&E

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • MBA is a plus
  • Minimum 10 plus years of Marketing and Merchandising experience in a Jewelry/luxury retail environment
  • Experience in managing multi-layered team
  • Accurately sets objectives and goals
  • Ability to work independently as well as a in a team
  • Effectively multi-task and be able to shift gears quickly
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to orchestrate and manage all details required to produce effective product strategies
  • Able to build a compelling case and effectively convey the specificities of the American audience
  • Thrives when handling multiple projects simultaneously and is strategic and efficient in managing them
  • Excellent presentation- oral and written-skills. Confident public speaker.
  • Creative and original thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to think strategically and analyze results
  • Curious and knowledgeable about arts, design, and culture
  • Proactive, flexible, innovative, and passionate individual
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows environment, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • SAP knowledge is a plus
  • Flexibility to travel as needed
