Role Overview

This Jeweler position will be responsible for manufacturing all types of jewelry for Van Cleef and Arpels high jewelry collections. They will also possess the knowledge of and flexibility to complete aftersales repairs to support business needs when necessary. All High Jewelry and Repair work will be in accordance with quality, technique, aesthetic, and time guidelines of The Maison. This role reports directly to the Workshop Supervisor.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manufacture of all types of jewelry products following the aesthetics, methods, and quality standards of The Maison
  • Creating jewelry using hand techniques in addition to high accuracy in cast cleaning and assembly
  • Knowledge of complex manufacturing and mechanisms
  • Providing innovative solutions to manufacturing challenges to achieve expected results,
  • Perform soldering using traditional torch and laser welding techniques
  • High level of expertise of working with 18k Gold and Platinum
  • Aftersales services of assorted jewelry pieces including but not limited to sizing and restoration
  • Participate in cross training, knowledge sharing and collaboration
  • Maintain equipment assigned to workbench and in shared areas
  • Management of precious metal and time management system in compliance with Maison standards and KPI’s

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years experience in manufacturing High Jewelry
  • Laser and traditional torch soldering experience 
  • Experience working with a microscope
  • Laser engraving experience is a plus
  • Of an agile mindset, able to respond quickly to changing workshop priorities
  • Strong verbal, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be a team player and able to adhere to deadlines
  • Ability to self-evaluate own work and in compliance with Workshop Supervisor/Director
  • Quick learner who can work with expedited service requests
  • Fluency in French is a plus

Expected Salary Range: $80K- $95K/yr

Salary will be negotiated based on relevant skills and experience.
