MAIN PURPOSE

L'ÉCOLE is a school of Jewelry Art, established in Paris and supported by Van Cleef & Arpels. The mission of L'ÉCOLE is to transmit & share education on jewellery, art, culture, craftsmanship & heritage.

The Operations Manager of L’ecole organizes and runs the activity of the School of Jewelry Arts for Asia Pacific.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Planning management and coordination of all activities for Hong Kong campus and Asia Pacific:

  • Oversees the overall schedule of courses, lectures, exhibitions and B2B events and plans the related teachers’ presence and external contributors’ roster (hostesses, docents, catering, security, housekeeping, etc.).
  • Coordinates -with Paris operations and education teams- the teachers’ allocation for courses and events according to their seniority, learning curve and local needs.
  • Establishes the quality standards and fosters to sustain the level of excellence of the services offered to the students and visitors.
  • Manage daily operations of the school including roster management for l’ecole team

 

Supervision of the registrations and traffic management:

  • He/she manages the registrations process, organizes the flows between students and visitors.
  • Controls the online registration portal and its optimization in cooperation with the dedicated agency, the communications manager and the VCA digital team
  • Proactively interacts with the other School of Jewelry Arts departments and the Maison teams to maximize the registration to courses.
  • He/she sets up daily traffic count processes, analyzes related reports and continuously adjusts operations accordingly.
  • Supervises emission & tracks redemption of gift vouchers

 

Supervision of the School daily operations, material and all related logistics & vendors:

  • Ensures all courses content, material and classrooms set up, ongoing stock management of valuables and non-valuables for courses, bookstore, library and exhibitions.
  • Coordination of courses documents translations and simultaneous translations when needed
  • Selection, management, training and schedule of external service providers: (hostesses, interpreters, catering, security, housekeeping, production, etc.)

 

Liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders:

  • Richemont (security, legal, logistics, finance, etc.)
  • Vendors management and budget control
  • Selects and manages the pool of vendors and suppliers while ensuring the cost control and compliance with the processes.
  • Proposes and Manages the operations budget.
  • Manages orders and supply, billing and contracts
  • Oversees storage & deliveries

 

Nomadic School projects:

  • Support launch of the nomadic activity in partnership with Paris, the hosting market and the other departments of the School of Jewelry Arts Asia Pacific
  • Is in charge of operations locally during the Nomadic schools in Asia Pacific & Japan ie responsible for the schedule, set up & dismantling

 

Management of the Operations Team

  • To ensure optimal operations for L’ECOLE, both in terms of educational approach and maintenance of the premises.
  • People Management to support team growth and foster collaborative team spirit. 

 

 

PROFILE

  • You have a significant experience (5-8 years) in a similar position, hotel or education industry is a strong plus
  • You are recognized for your dynamism, your positive energy, your responsiveness and your sense of organization.
  • You are able to prioritize, to work under pressure, to be proactive and to provide qualitative work.
  • You are rigorous and have the sense of reporting.
  • Your agility, team spirit and communication skills will be highly appreciated for this position.
  • You have a good English level and strong pack office skills
  • You are ready to travel abroad and are flexible on working hours.
