MAIN PURPOSE
Following the master plan announced by the Chinese government in June 2020, Hainan island will become a free Trade Port by 2025. This is a step change for the island, and Hainan will become a major destination for local and international tourism and shopping. In a few months, it has already become the biggest travel retail business worldwide.
The Maison will open its second boutique in the north of Hainan this year in partnership with the historical travel retail operator, and we are looking for our Assistant Boutique Manager, based in Haikou, and reporting to the Boutique Manager.
The Assistant Boutique Manager, as an Ambassador of Van Cleef & Arpels, is responsible for daily sales operational work to support the Boutique Manager. She/He is also responsible for sales management and coaching of the sales team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Boutique Performance & Sales Achievement
- Supervise the team to accomplish and maximize sales target and retail KPIs defined by the Management,
- Propose and enforce relevant action plans to deliver and stretch boutique & individual performance.
Team Management & Development:
- Train, evaluate and coach the team,
- Be responsible for performance management, Individual Development Plans and follow up on a regular basis,
- Provide and nurture a positive working environment and team morale, aligned with the Maison culture, to handle employee issues appropriately and in a timely manner,
- Identify and propose the training needs and plans for the team by working with Training Department and ensure the training action plans are implemented and followed up.
Customer Experience Management:
- Act as an Ambassador of the Maison and build direct contact with VIPs,
- Supervise and monitor the team to deliver the best customer services & experience aligned with Maison's strategy and guidelines,
- Work closely with Client Development Department to support the team in client relationship build-up, retention and development,
- Ensure Maison's Customer Care strategy and policies are fully implemented in the Boutique, Responsible for providing optimal solutions to solve customer issues or complaints.
Boutique Operations and Administration:
- Be responsible for the full integration and implementation of procedures and policies by communicating, managing, and coaching the team under the partner compliance requirements,
- Supervise the boutique back office, administration and optimize the boutique overall functioning,
- Provide supervision and instruction to make sure all the interior and exterior of the boutique are well maintained according to Maison's standards and guideline,
- Be responsible for continuously improve Mystery Shopper results and propose action plans.
PROFILE
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar role with proven experience of managing a high-traffic boutique
- Strong management and leadership skills, with a proven ability to set high expectations and drive others for results
- Ability and willingness to absorb the Maison culture and inspire the team to do the same
- Experienced to work in matrix organization with good challenging partnership skills
