Boutique Manager

To manage all aspects of a boutique to ensure that there is synergy amongst the staff and that sales targets are achieved.

Support to the Retail Management Team on daily operational matters.

Assist in planning and execution of in-store and marketing activities.

To ensure implementation of operational procedures, staff training and welfare, customer service and merchandising.

To continuously grow the database of VIPs and ensuring a high retention rate.


- Operations


Ensure smooth operations: conduct daily briefing and monitoring the roster of the retail stores.

Daily and Weekly sales/incentive reports.

Customer Analysis.

Duty Roster – staffing, assist in recruitment.

Staff Commission and incentive reports.

Ad-hoc reports.


- Sales


Ensure that monthly sales budget/internal targets are achieved for the boutique.

Execute Strategies and action plans implemented by the management.

To suggest strategies for discontinued products.


- Costs


Ensure that general costs and expenses are kept low.

Proper control on POS materials and collaterals.


- Stock/Inventory


Responsible for the stock holding and shrinkages of the Boutique.

Monitor model stock and clustering in order to achieve sales targets. Identify ways of depleting discontinued or slow-moving on a regular basis.

Qualitative security measures in preventing theft and pilferage.

Responsible for all stock control documentation is timely and discrepancies are accounted by documentation.


- Customer Service


Provide exemplary sales performance and high standards of customer service excellence.

Oversee and ensure customers complaints are handled tactfully and professionally with follow-up.

To support and increase boutique customer database (CRM).

To ensure the team has adequate follow-up with all VIPs.

To ensure After Sales Service Guidelines are adhered to.


- Visual Merchandising


Ensure good synergy with Visual Merchandise team; displaying each product correctly and adhering to guidelines while maximizing exposure to generate sales.

Monitor and review the level of stocks of accessories (catalogues, gifts, boxes, etc.)


- Staff Development & Training


Monitor staff performance on a regular basis and provide training when necessary.

To conduct staff appraisal and quarterly performance review.

Lead by example and create a positive dynamic working attitude and environment.

Recommend respective staff for grooming, training and skills upgrading to further enhance one’s performance.


- Personal Development & Qualities


Maintain updated product knowledge.

To possess quality leadership skills to lead the staff to perform to their fullest potential.

To possess effective communication skills.

Initiative and proactive.

Possess general IT skills, constantly upgrading: SAP.


- Housekeeping


Ensure that the boutique is kept neat and tidy at all times and the roster is maintained monthly.

Visual displays in accordance with directives and of high standards.

Ensure vigilant and regular checks on staff movements during operating hours.
