MAIN PURPOSE

 

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for the development and improvement of  Roger Dubuis business in the region (Middle East and India) by ensuring that sales, visibility, quality of services and quality of customer’s relationship are in line with the company guidelines.

 

The quality of services includes brand support (guidelines and feedback), POS merchandising and presence, training and communication support.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

WHOLESALE

 

Account Management

  • Development of the business and our commercial partnership
  • Reach the monthly budget by continuously monitoring account performance, tailoring account strategies & action plans, leading to maximising retailers’ sales
  • Advice and plan the replenishment of watches with the retailers, ensuring optimal product mix / assortment policy
  • Monitor the stock as well as the sell-in/sell-out per POS
  • Follow-up payments with the Sales Admin
  • Act as intermediate in solving issues and conflicts in such areas as after sales, deliveries (availability and delay), logistics, payments and collections
  • Coordinate with the Sales Admin the execution of the administrative tasks for the follow up of the commercial activity
  • On top of the regular visits, perform quarterly formal meetings with key retailers and annually for others

 

Business Plan & Implementation

  • Provide input for the development of business & marketing plans and support the implementation
  • Implement and monitor action plans, launch of new products, concept development and organisation

 

Sales Forecast

  • Prepare the sales forecast (SI) for the countries/accounts in charge by product as well as the Sell-Out (SO) per door

 

Marketing

  • Coordinate, implement and follow-up the marketing action plan per account, plan previously agreed with the Brand and the Marketing Managers

 

RETAIL

 

Sell Out

  • Draw action plan to strengthen the sell-out on Wholesale & Dubai Mall Boutique
  • Recommend, set up and follow incentives and promotions.

 

Visibility

  • Implement BEM corporate guidelines in the boutiques in terms of standard merchandising
  • Coordinate with marketing team the implementation of Price tags, collection names, special displays, new furniture, PLV assortment
  • At least four times per year, coordination with Marketing team for the installation of main window animations
  • Guarantee the implementation of the proper Brand Image as per the guidelines of the HQ
  • Ensure the right visibility at POS level through the implantation of Roger Dubuis’s Visual Merchandising guidelines
  • Improve and increase the brand presence/space when possible

 

Network Management

  • Define action plan per door / account
  • Validate weekly visits plan and objectives with Brand Director and ensure proper reporting
  • Optimise the number of accounts and their geographical coverage
  • Implement, follow and update a POS database / market database

 

Training & Staff Product Knowledge

  • Organize and implement regular training sessions with Retailers’ Sales Team in order to maximize brand commitment
  • Key user of marketing & sales monitor: Responsible for weekly checking & printing updates
  • Coordinate ongoing in store training materials
  • Coordinate Mystery Shopping and follow up with boutique
  • Organize training seminars with external trainers in coordination with marketing team

 

Reporting

  • Provide Brand Director and organization with market feedback on sell-out, stock level at POS /analysis, competition, distribution network, retail price or other as needed

 

Represent The Brand 

  • Being a true ‘ambassador of the brand’ by ensuring that all actions and communication towards retailers, retail staff, consumers & journalists are reflecting the brand values and policies
  • Prepare and attend exhibitions/fairs (e.g. SIHH) and events when required

 

Others

  • Manage all specific or temporary tasks requested by Brand Director

 

Dimension

  • Geographical area under responsibility, but not limited to Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Egypt and India etc. 

 

JOB PROFILE

 

Background:

  • Wholesale sales, business development and account management experience of a global consumer or luxury brand in a MNC

 

Education:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree holder

 

Industry Knowledge:

  • Understanding of the luxury retail industry and market knowledge and trends

 

People Management:

  • Previous experience of leading and developing a team
  • Strong in visioning and commercial mindset: Ability to see the bigger picture, anticipate future consequences and trends
