Logistics Manager

MAIN PURPOSE
As Logistics Manager, you assure the operational organisation of the Swiss Local Logistics Department, lead, develop and motivate a team of 2 direct reports. The operation contains the management of physical and virtual based product flows, the interface and communication with other internal departments, clients, and external partners, including management of external suppliers. You operate with a high degree of autonomy and can handle both operational and managerial tasks.
As a team of 3, you will manage all the logistics tasks related to the daily operations requested by 12 Maison’s, in line with Richemont policies, guidelines and local legislation.
A strong customers-oriented, collaborative, flexible, and continuous improvement mind-set are key elements required by this role.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
- Operational Excellence
Coordinate and organise the logistics operations for Switzerland market to ensure the achievement of objectives regarding cost, quality, lead-times, security, customs, legal and compliance.
- Continuous Improvement
Propose and put in place necessary steps to improve the productivity, cost efficiency and quality of the logistics department’s activities.
- Stakeholder Management and collaboration
Strong relationship and collaboration with other Richemont departments (Finance, Customer Services, Project Management, Security), Maison’s, suppliers, and European Logistics community.
- Stock Management
Manage inventories of our different stocks, including preparation, counting, SAP recording, in collaboration with Maisons and other related departments such as Finance.
- Logistics Expertise Support
Support Maison’s, boutiques, and customer services in shipments organization, including advice on import or export customs topics or any other logistics subjects. Train and upskill key stakeholders in necessary logistics matters.
- Budget Management
Budget construction, presentation and management of Logistics area costs including all transportation flows in local logistics in collaboration with finance department and support from regional logistics.
- Team Management
Manage, develop, and guide team members according to their ambitions and Richemont needs.
HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?
Education
- Education in the logistics field or equivalent experience-based training.
Required experience
- Knowledge in international trade and in customs
- Domestic logistics experience
- People management experience
- Knowledge in luxury and/or in high-value shipments management. (plus)
Technical skills and abilities
- Languages:
- French and English
- Computer skills:
- Very Good skills in Office tools such as Microsoft Office
- Very Good knowledge in SAP R/3
