Procurement Associate Director, South Asia

As country Procurement function lead to drive and professionalize local purchasing best practices and deliver solid business value including but not limited to cost savings, compliance, supplier risk management and quality. This role will cover six markets in South Asia Region – Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia and New Zealand.
Process & Compliance
- Manage and reinforce country Procurement policies and guidelines in compliance with Richemont group standard
- Improve and refine procurement policy and procedures and monitor the effectiveness
- Work closely with Finance and Internal Control & System department to ensure Request-to-Pay processes compliance with corporate guidelines as well as legal and regulatory requirements
- Maintain and manage Procurement dashboards / KPI’s to drive performance in terms of process compliance, delegation of authority, supplier qualification, etc.
- Educate stakeholders on proper procurement process by organizing training and communication to brand and department requestors
Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation
- Work with stakeholders and budget owners to establish procurement strategy on major categories including but not limited to retail store fit-out & renovation (Capex), advertising & promotion (e.g. events, PR, promotional items, visual merchandizing etc.) and general expenses (e.g. IT, logistics, office supplies, printing, etc.)
- Review and optimize sourcing strategies, participating in supplier selection and review processes
- Identify opportunities to drive efficiency, synergy and savings within local and regional operations
- Lead major sourcing projects from RFP/tender to delivery
- Maximize business benefits by consolidating purchasing power to drive cost savings
- Support and coordinate regional and global Procurement initiatives and projects
Supplier Relationship Management
- Ensure qualification and conflict-free supplier relationships in line with Richemont group guidelines including Supplier Code of Conduct, factory audit, etc.
- Manage relationship with major local and global suppliers to drive long term and sustainable partnership at group level
- Continuously optimize supplier panel by regular review of performance and feedback from stakeholders
- Manages day-to-day business relationships with local suppliers; evaluate and improve vendor performance
Management Reporting
- Provide key measurement statistics, analysis, and report on procurement activities
- Regular update and communicate with local and regional senior management team on procurement initiatives
Requirements
- 8-10 years of strong discipline in Procurement or Supply Chain function, with indirect categories focus
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, industry, and suppliers; with indirect categories management experiences
- Strong communication and project management skills, including presentation and negotiation abilities, able to lead cross-functional teams to drive initiatives and deliver concrete results
- Strong analytical skills and business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint)
- Fluent in written and oral English and local languages
- First level university degree or equivalent education; advanced university degree preferred
