The Company

Richemont Luxury Singapore is a fully owned subsidiary of Richemont and is the platform on which some 13 Maisons conducts operations in Singapore and coordinates their business for the whole South Asia: 4 direct markets (Australia, Thailand, Malaysia on the top of Singapore) and export markets in ASEAN.

 

The Position

Based in Singapore, the Brand Controller, South Asia of Specialist Watchmakers cluster, oversees the financial monitoring of South Asia business performance of two to three Maisons with key focus on the annual budget, rolling forecasts, latest estimates and actual reporting, strategic plans, financial KPIs, office & facilities investment requests, balance sheet and cashflow management.

This position reports to the Head of FP&A, SWM South Asia. The position is a member of the Richemont FP&A community of APAC and South Asia driving FP&A initiatives, promoting best practices, and elevating professional competency of the Finance function.  The position has no direct report.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Safeguard the assets and resources of the Group by maintaining the independent view of Finance in business decisions
  2. Owner of budget and forecast processes of the two Maison for South Asia, key contact between head-offices and the 4 markets (SG, AU, TH and MY), to drive financial planning and monitoring of targets and KPIs
  3. Monitor business and cost trends across markets, analyse financial impacts of budget/ forecast deviations, and recommend corrective measures
  4. Drive insightful analysis and financial visibility to enable strategic and operational decisions.
  5. Evaluate the feasibility and profitability of Maison’s existing and future projects
  6. Promote financial discipline within the Maison’s teams, ensure quality of the financial forecasts and compliance of corporate finance policies
  7. Lead APAC FP&A initiatives by bringing functional efficiency and elevating the quality of reporting and financial monitoring

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • University graduate of tertiary educational institute
  • Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in Controlling/ FP&A
  • Experience in senior single contributor roles
  • Work experience in matrix organization is highly valued; experience in retail industry is an advantage
  • Experience with SAP and Business Object is a plus
