Physical Security, Health, Safety, and Environment
Role Overview:
The Vice President; Physical Security, Health, Safety, and Environment leads these combined functions (PSHSE) for the Richemont Americas Region, including the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Brazil. The role oversees all related activities for the Region’s coporate offices, retail boutiques, and operational facilities, leading the development, implementation, and advancement of PSHSE strategies, polices, and practices, in partnership with Group Security and Region leaders, and providing thought leadership and best-practices insights to protect employees and customers, and physical and intellectual assets (excluding information technology). The role serves as a member of the Region’s Executive Leadership Team.
Strategic Responsibilities:
- Establish collaborative relationships with Country Heads and Maison and Function Leaders to develop, execute, and evolve the Region’s PSHSE strategy.
- Drive the Richemont Group PSHSE agenda, ensuring timely and effective execution of global initiatives at a local level.
- Work collaboratively with the Region’s Leaders and Compliance Team to assess PSHSE risk, identify gaps, and create and implement policies and tactical solutions across all locations.
- Ensure that appropriate PSHSE operating procedures exist, and are understood and adhered to, for all Regional facilities and that synergies with Group processes are maximized, in alignment with Group Security strategy.
- Manage the consistent and efficient flow of PSHSE information between Group Security and the Region’s work locations, markets, Functions, and Maisons.
- Partner with Finance to create and oversee the management of relevant budgets.
- Liaise with other relevant departments to drive the enforcement of Richemont’s Standards of Business Conduct.
Physical Security:
- Lead and oversee all activities associated with the Region’s 24/7/365 Security Operations Center.
- Direct the planning and implementation of operational measures, including resource deployment, to ensure protection of persons, assets, products, and operations.
- Lead periodic risk assessments, in partnership with relevant stakeholders, to determine building and facility exposure, and implement measures to meet necessary standards.
- Partner with key stakeholders, including HR, Internal Communications, Legal, Maisons, etc. to ensure that physical security priorities and objectives are embedded in the business.
- As necessary, manage and assist in conducting security related investigations of threats, loss, or misappropriation of assets.
- Oversee security planning and monitor Maison and/or Function events to ensure that potential risk is suitably mitigated and relevant Richemont policies are applied.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders and support all aspects of physical security for construction and refurbishment of the Region’s work locations.
- Lead the Region’s security team(s) in establishing and implementing the specifications, standards, and requirements for security equipment and systems, and ensure regular maintenance and servicing is provided by vendors.
- Maintain relationships with third-party suppliers to ensure the effective delivery of security equipment and resources, including quality assurance.
- Maintain knowledge of security best practices, industry trends, current issues, and technology solutions, and provide ongoing updates and recommendations to Region leadership.

- Lead and/or support Group and Region physical security projects and initiatives.
- Serve as a liaison to public law enforcement and other corporate security teams, as necessary.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
- Lead the development and implementation of HSE policies, regulations, and operational measures to ensure the protection of persons, assets, products, operations, and reputation.
- Develop, recommend, and implement robust HSE strategies and initiatives that are aligned with each market’s needs and local regulations, as well as the requirements of the relevant Maisons and Functions.
- Develop, implement, and monitor compliance with HSE policies, systems, regulatory requirements, procedures, and standards.
- Continually test, communicate, evolve, and, as necessary, oversee the implementation of the Region’s emergency response plan(s) concerning natural disaster, fire, crime, public health, threats, terrorism, etc.
- Ensure that HSE related policies, procedures, and standards are consistently applied across all work locations through regular communication and training.
- Represent the company to HSE related authorities, specialties, and third parties.
- Establish, communicate, and manage HSE KPIs and scorecards.
Incident Management and Crisis Support
- Monitor risks for incoming/outgoing business travelers and advise on preventive measures.
- Ensure that Richemont Americas Crisis Management Teams are established, maintained, and trained.
- As necessary, coordinate with Group Security on the crisis management of all business entities and countries during an incident to ensure an aligned response.
- With the support of relevant stakeholders, coordinate incident/crisis response activities efficiently and effectively, leveraging all available information and data.
- Establish and train Incident Management Teams in key locations.
- Create, communicate, and oversee the implementation of business continuity plans, as necessary.
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a related field
- CPP (Certified Protection Professional) and/or CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) preferred
Professional Experience
- 10+ years of experience in a corporate PSHSE leadership role
- Experience with crisis management, emergency response planning, and business continuity strategies
- Experience managing multi-site operations
- Luxury retail experience strongly preferred
Competencies
- Strong problem solving skills with the ability to quickly and effectively assess risk, develop solutions, and make immediate decisions to mitigate loss or damage
- Ability to maintain current understanding of PSHSE best practices
- Ability to respond quickly and calmly to a rapidly evolving situation, utilizing resources appropriately
- Strong knowledge of security systems, access control, and video surveillance
- In-depth understanding of federal, state, and local health, safety, and environmental regulations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Brazil
- Proficient in contract negotiation, contractor management, and project management
- Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills Fluent in English; French a plus

- Productive relationships with government agencies and security teams of major corporations; luxury retail industry preferred
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 25% of the time
