Staff Accountant

Role Overview

Accountant responsible for reconciling all boutique, e-commerce, and wholesale credit card sales and cash collections, supporting the monthly financial closing process, and completing ad-hoc projects as needed

 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure credit card receivable and other assigned general ledger accounts are reconciled timely and accurately
  • Collaborate with the Accounting, Brand Finance, Boutique Controlling, Brands, and Operations teams for successful completion of core duties pertaining to general ledger maintenance and reporting
  • Key user testing related to new system processes as required
  • Engage in all aspects of general accounting functions, recording journal entries, and balance sheet analysis with commentary
  • Participate in and complete assigned external and internal audit requests
  • Evaluate retail and other related processes to ensure compliance with the Company’s internal controls
 

Qualifications

  • Accounting degree preferred with minimum of one to three years of experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel & PowerPoint 
  • Experience with SAP a plus
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Ability to both work with a team and individually
  • Self-starter and work with nominal supervision
  • Detail oriented and comfortable working with high volume of transactions
