HR Technology Specialist

 Richemont Regional Functions| Shelton, CT

Reports to: Sr HR Technology Manager

 

Role Overview

 

The HR technology Specialist role supports the Human Resources department and the HR Applications end users by adressing the HR Applications maintenance, technical issues solving, training, support and development requests to ensure that the business is provided support and tools that fit business needs. They are responsible for translating business requirements to help ensure that technical solutions rolled out consider local needs, are tested and provide efficiencies where possible. Overall ownership of HR IS support, testing, training and communication from group HR and Group HRIS. Accountable for facilitation, documentation, and driving the execution of technical system integrations and business advisory to improve systems efficiencies with a customer centric approach.

 

Responsibilities (or Mission)

The HR technology Specialist responsibilities are listed below and are to be done in collaboration and sharing the overall outcome responsibility with the HR technology Manager:

HR Systems and Applications Support

  • Own and execute on systems technical administration for HR solutions including but not limited to technical configuration, testing, issues trouble shooting and resolution
  • Systematic review of all open tickets, resolution, follow up and escalations required.
  • Support Personnel Administration, Organization Management, Reporting tools, Talent Management, Preboarding cockpit and Salary Review tools in SAP HR and interfaces with other systems. Insure support to the other systems ( Ceridian, Benefits, Cornerstone) 
  • Ensure user access creation and management. Support user access review.
  • For issues resolution and enhancement application, collaborate with Service desk, Information security, connectivity, Hr Ops, Analytics etc. when it applies
  • Escalate to/partner with L3 recurring issues or issues that cannot be resolved at L2 level
  • Understands data governance across SAP HR and downstream system.
  • Develops business understanding with the HR users support.
  • Develops a clear understanding of industry leading solutions/trends on HR Technology field.

 

 

HR systems and Applications Testing

  • Ensure the unit/technical Testing of system changes as well as new software enhancements.
  • Particiapte to the test releases communicated by providers (Ceridian, benefits, , etc.) or Groupe HRIS (SAP HR, Cornerstone, People First etc.)
  • Test coordination and participation on UAT's.
  • Develops and maintain HR technical and user documentation for local projects. Relay documentation provided by Group HRIS.

 

Training

  • Provides HR users training on HR systems functionalities: training to include live demos based on system capacities.
  • Prepare training material and propose training plan. 
  • With the HR Technology Sr Manager build and implement a training program. Partner with the Richemont Learning and Development department

 

Projects

  • Participates to the selection process of any HR-related application.
  • Take proactive participation in the Development, Design of system new software enhancements.  
  • Develop and maintain both technical and user documentation.
  • Understand the implementation in light of HR Applications support and Existing HR processes landscape.
  • Understand budget constraints in relation to support/evolutions of solutions to adapt priorities management.

 

Communication

  • Subscribes to relevant Yammer groups.
  • Attends relevant Group conferences and workshops,
  • Gathers release information, review them and communicate changes to HR community as relevant.

 

 

Qualifications

Education:

  • College education or technical school background.

 

Required experience:

  • Entry level accepted, ideally 2+ years of HR related Technical support experience.
  • Knowledge of SAP/HR and/or Workday tools is a plus
  • Exposure to People-technology related projects.

 

Technical skills / abilities :

  • Solid understanding of SAP HR and/or Workday (not relevant for entry level)
  • Hr System configuration experience in Personnel Administration, Organizational Management and/or Payroll (not relevant for entry level)
  • In depth knowledge of HR reporting tools and techniques (not relevant for entry level)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
