Cloud Compute Engineer

Role Overview

As a Cloud Compute Engineer specialized in Linux and Windows, you will be an integral part of the Compute Engineering team within the Group Cloud & DevOps Services Area. You will manage and optimize the Compute infrastructure Product across various global locations, overseeing dozen of Kubernetes clusters as well as thousands of servers deployed Mainly in the cloud (AWS, Alibaba Cloud, And GCP). Your role will be critical in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our infrastructure.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Build, operate and continually improve Compute platforms and services.
  • Linux and Windows servers administration at large scale.
  • Manage multiple Kubernetes clusters.
  • Deployment of compute cloud resources as code.
  • Keep infrastructure secure, up to date and online.
  • Optimize cloud infrastructure resources (performances vs budget)
  • Participate in on-call rotations with other team members.
  • Develop internal tools and processes that improve efficiency and reduce operational risks.
  • Promote software development and DevOps practices.
  • Planning and implementation of technical projects with Jira.
  • Work in multinational/Multicultural teams/projects in collaboration with engineers and developers from different teams

 

Qualifications

 

Required:

  • Excellent communication skills and autonomy in following tasks and assist project  
  • Fluent in English mandatory only; other language a plus 
  • Considerable knowledge of AWS Cloud.
  • Excellent experience in administration of Linux (Red hat, Ubuntu, Debian)
  • Excellent experience in administration of Windows servers (2022, 2019, 2016)
  • Experience with Docker
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Considerable knowledge of Terraform (Infra as Code) 
  • Proficient with Ansible
  • Extensive experience in scripting & automation 
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Apply software engineering best practices (test automation, documentation, code review, etc.)

 

Preferred:

    • Understanding of the principles and best practices around Agile patterns and      processes 
  • Experience with Alibaba Cloud is a plus. 
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
  • Experience With Anthos Stack a plus
  • Experience with Istio/ Service Mesh is a plus.
