FP&A Intern

Business Controller

MAIN PURPOSE

 

 

 

The FP&A Intern will have an opportunity to gain hands-on finance experience and learn about the various aspects of the FP&A function at Richemont. Richemont Saudi Arabia internships provide entry-level professionals with real-world learning opportunities in a fast-paced but positive environment to help build their future careers. They will be in charge of assisting with all financial matters related to the activity of the company in the country, in line with Richemont Group accounting and reporting standards.

 

Under the supervision of the Business Controller, they support the FP&A team in providing local Brand Management with all financial information and analysis required to take relevant and appropriate decisions in order to grow their business in the region in a sustainable way.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in the Maison’s financial planning, budgeting and forecasting

  • Support in the Maisons’ budget processes : timely preparation, analysis and submission of Budgets and quarterly Latest Estimates, in line with Group requirements and standards.

 

Monitor financial performance and identify risks and opportunities

  • Assist in monthly closing with key stakeholders and accounting team: ensuring that all relevant accounting entries  are booked properly, in line with IFRS and Group standards.
  • Prepare monthly reports and ad hoc analysis to the Management.
  • Support the FP&A team to comment on and explain financial performance.

 

Drive process improvement and Internal Control culture

  • Contributes to the development of a financial / internal control culture within the Brands and spreads best practices across the departments.
  • Contributes to the formalization and continuous improvement of standard operating procedures and processes.
  • Contributes to the improvement of controlling processes and systems by identifying areas of improvement and leading initiatives and projects to address them.

 

 

 

JOB PROFILE

Required experience / technical skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in accounting or finance is preferred.
  • Experience in Accounting / Finance / Audit is a plus;
    • background in retail is a plus.
  • Finance and accounting knowledge (P/L, BS, CASH).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel.
    • SAP and/or Anaplan knowledge is an advantage.
    • PowerPoint and/or Word proficiency is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills - Fluent in English. 
    • Arabic and/or French verbal/written skills are an advantage.
