POLISHING TECHNICIAN

 

ROLE OVERVIEW

Provide polishing/refinishing of all product lines requiring these interventions within the Richemont Group of Maisons as dictated by the Maisons.  This includes rhodium plating removal and reapplication.  Intermittent support of the watch dismantling task will be expected.

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Daily Production: To meet or exceed the brand targets of productivity outlined by the Technical Supervisor.
  • Quality: To maintain a level of quality that does not exceed the targets presented by the given Maison.  This includes comebacks and failed quality control.
  • Time Management/Attendance: To manage personal time, so as not to exceed the accrued time that each employee is entitled to based on their years of service.  As well as manage their daily work schedule of 8 hours per day.
  • Workshop Maintenance: Maintain tools, work area and equipment used.  Keep area clear of unnecessary objects that are not related to the daily business.  Keep informational data in order and organized so the information is easily attainable.  Bring to the attention of the Technical Supervisor when tools or equipment require service.
  • Technical Management: To respect the assignment process regarding pieces that have been assigned, sensitive repairs and other priorities.  Alert Manager(s) of problems that may cause delays in the process.
  • Technical Feedback: Provide feedback on technical issues that arise and escalate to the proper level so improvements can be made and reported.
  • Technical Knowledge: Possess the ability to understand the technical information to perform tasks in an efficient manner, as well as be able to communicate this understanding when dealing with quality issues related to flow-backs, comebacks and failed quality control issues.  As well as be capable of explaining the reason behind flow-backs.
  • Ethical Responsibility: That all ethical practices are carried out, to ensure the client is receiving the services required.  Assist in any area outside of main role as the company requires.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 years of experience as a polishing technician
  • Certification in the field
  • Able to work independently, follow directions, make decisions, problem-solve, and adapt to change
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
