In line with Richemont Group, regional and local strategy and objectives, the Finance Director leads and develops the finance function in Mexico jointly with the local GM & CFO, while managing all aspects of finance operations, key financial projects and initiatives.

He/she supervises Accounting, Tax and FP&A teams and works closely and effectively with local, regional and Group stakeholders at the Richemont and Brand levels.

The position reports directly to the local GM & CFO of Richemont Mexico and with functional reporting to the CFO of Richemont Americas.

The Finance Director is a registered Director of the legal entity and, therefore, the duties and obligations of a director are expected to be fulfilled with the highest degree of personal and corporate responsibility, as well as ethical values in line with the Group’s Code of Conduct.

He/she/they oversees the entire Richemont Finance Function in Mexico to ensure a smooth operation flow in accordance with our policies and procedures and with good financial controls in place and high levels of collaboration and teamwork. He/she/they also acts, with support of the GM & CFO, as one of the two key Management representatives to liaise with Financial-related external parties including government authorities, etc.





Group, statutory and tax reporting

  • Responsible for statutory and Group accounts, managing, improving and documenting processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting in compliance with Group (IFRS) and local rules.
  • Together with Group Tax department and external consultants, coordinate and follow-up all local tax matters (direct and indirect) and international tax agreements that might be applicable.
  • In coordination with Group Treasury, manage the relationship and partnership with local Banks and ensure mid and long-term visibility to anticipate cash situation and financing needs.


Business support

  • Act as a strategic partner to the business for both Brands and Richemont functions while providing professional and proactive expertise and support on all financial matters.
  • Ensure permanent and consistent business follow up for Richemont Functions, analyze financial performance, prepare short and medium-term business plans together with GM & CFO, management and teams, drive operational improvements and standardization.
  • Build a strong and permanent communication flow with local stakeholders, regional and Group teams to ensure visibility on Mexican operations.
  • According to business growth, build over time a strong local planning / controlling team to support local Brand Manager(s) and Function managers.


Finance Operations

  • Ensure effective and efficient finance operations by building and managing a highly structured and process-driven accounting function.
  • Leveraging technology and digital tools, drive consistently accounting process optimization and improvement, also in alignment with regional and Group processes.


Team management

  • Assess, manage and develop the Finance team members through an effective performance management process, including clear definition of roles and responsibilities, expectations and objectives.
  • Define and actively manage succession and individual development plans while ensuring permanent alignment of resources with business needs.
  • Ensure business continuity.
  • Inspire, animate and coach the team, strongly promote cross-functional activities and communication.


Support Functions supervision.

  • Real estate: ensure company compliance under lease terms, smooth coordination of lease agreements and sign-off; develop business relationship with key operators in Mexico.
  • Legal: work closely with GM & CFO and Regional and Group legal team and/or external counsel on escalated legal issues, represent the Company to deal with Consumer Claims / Tribunals.


Adhoc Strategic project participation

  • Be a supportive and strong Finance sponsor on any key projects launches, including and presenting the financial impacts and implications.



Regional integration and reporting

  • Develop a strong collaboration and animation, with the support of the local GM & CFO, with the Regional Finance Community based in Shelton and in New York.
  • Implement proper communication and reporting protocols to ensure alignment and synergies in order to gain efficiencies on any financial reporting matter.
  • Participate to Regional Finance projects.





  • Degree in Finance or similar, CPA or comparable qualification
  • Minimum of 12 / 15 years of functional financial experience, of which +/- 3 years in a similar management position with an international company.
  • Good knowledge of International Accounting Standards experience/exposure to Mexico accounting and direct/indirect tax regulations, and internal controls
  • Experience in FP&A and controlling in a multi-stakeholder environment, ideally in retail business



  • Developed organisational skills, familiar with finance-related systems and project management
  • Knowledge of and ability to leverage technology and digital tools to support and drive continuous improvement
  • Advanced team leadership and interpersonal skills to deal with all levels of people
  • Excellent communication, developed presentation skills, fluent written and spoken English. Spanish is a strong advantage.
