Our vision is to create a data-driven organization with a major focus on Google Cloud Platform that will enable our businesses to leverage data to make better decisions, improve client experience, develop new products & services, and increase operational efficiency. 

  

The Senior Manager Data Platform Engineering will deliver, maintain, and improve data platforms capabilities in coordination with all data engineering/analytics/Science teams of the group. 

As a key player, you will have the opportunity to shape and lead the construction of our next-generation data platform. 

 

Our vision is to empower our data experts by offering state-of-the-art self-service capabilities, from standard business intelligence to advanced analytics and artificial intelligence, coupled with real-time data. 

You will be part of our leaders driving our transformation from a data technology perspective and steer our progressive migration from legacy solutions to our modern, unified data platform on Google Cloud. 

  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  

  • Manage a team of very skilled data platform engineers. 

  • Lead the build of our next generation data platform on GCP. 

  • Collaborate with business teams to understand data capabilities requirements and translate them into technical solutions using industry best practices.  

  • Ensure data platforms security is a top priority, implementing robust security measures and compliance to safeguard data integrity and confidentiality. 

  • Work with data governance rules and guidance implementing proper technical solutions. 

  • Push the data strategy to all business and be key in downgrading legacy solutions. 

  • Monitor all data platforms activities (usage, billing, IAM, alerts…)  

  

SKILLSET 

  

  • Significant experience in a similar role managing data platforms in a complex transforming environment. 

  • Experience in developing data capabilities for data experts and applications 

  • Excellent knowledge & hands-on experience on Google Cloud Platform, notably BigQuery , Vertex AI and Looker. 

  • Strong programming background (Python, Kotlin, Java, etc..) 

  • Experience on using and implementing DBT, terraform at scale. 

  • Knowledge on SAP ERP / SAP BW / SAP Analytics Cloud / Power BI a plus 

  • Experience extracting and loading data with multiple integration tools (Fivetran / HVR a plus)
