The Group Enterprise Architecture (EA) function is at the heart of enabling our business strategy and fulfilling our customer promise, through the definition and implementation of a sound technical and architectural portfolio of change. To further bolster our digital, data and technology ambitions, we are currently looking for a highly experienced Enterprise Architect to own and lead the “Data & Analytics” domain with the Group EA function.


Job Overview


The Data EA proactively and holistically leads and supports Enterprise Architecture activities that guide the development and management of Data and Analytics solutions at group level. These solutions enable the organization's future-state business capabilities and drive the organization’s targeted business-outcomes. Technologies include data lakes, data warehouses, business intelligence, data hubs, AI, machine learning, data science, NLP, cognitive and stream analytics technologies.

He/she provides the leadership, facilitation, analysis and design tasks required for the development of an enterprise's data & analytics architecture. The EA creates deliverables that help develop target-state guidance (reusable standards, guidelines, individual parts, platforms and configurations) for evolving the data architecture across the enterprise, in order to enable business strategy and deliver targeted business outcomes. He/she facilitates and orchestrate the delivery of targeted business outcomes through facilitating and making data architecture related decisions.


The Role


The Data EA will demonstrate competencies across three key dimensions:



Derives Future State Data & Alaytics Architecture


  • Reports straight-line to the Group Chief Architect and advises on Richemont’s modern data & analytics platform strategy to build a strong foundation for business execution
  • Works with EA peers (e.g., business, integration, application, cloud and security architects) to analyze enterprise business context (business strategy and trends), as well as change requirements in other enterprise architecture viewpoints to derive the future state data and analytics architecture. This includes defining the requirements, principles and models that guide data & analytics (D&A) related decisions for the enterprise.
  • Coaches, mentors and collaborates with business/IT stakeholders and EA peers to develop D&A architecture that enables and drives new business capabilities and operating models.
  • Drives D&A innovation by leveraging innovative new technologies and approaches to renovate, extend, and transform the existing core technology base and IT estate.
  • Defines high-level migration plans to address the gaps between the future and current state, typically in sync with the IT budgeting or other capital planning processes.


Influences D&A Strategy, Evaluates Technology


  • Partners with business unit leadership, and through the rationalization of the information value chain, the Data EA provides strategic recommendations to maximize the value of data assets via their creation, access and use.
  • Understands D&A trends and the practical application of existing, new and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving business and operating models.
  • Provide D&A thought leadership for ongoing transformations, governs and directs the implementation of Richemont’s best-in-class D&A platform leveraging offerings from top cloud vendors like AWS, GCP, Alibaba etc.
  • Guides technology investment decisions based on analysis and evaluation to drive targeted business outcomes while ensuring standardization and reuse of IT assets across the entire IT landscape.
  • Helps the chief architect define metrics to measure and demonstrate enterprise D&A value.
  • Assists with designing the governance, assurance and standards activities associated with ensuring enterprise D&A architecture compliance of projects and products.
  • Oversees and facilitates the research, evaluation, and selection of D&A products and solutions.
  • Identifies the organizational impact (for example, on skills, processes, structures and culture) and financial impact of the enterprise D&A architecture.
  • Understands, advocates, and augments the business and D&A strategies — and, more specifically, EA development and service delivery. Prepared to "sell" the EA process (overall, not just for enterprise data architecture), its outcome and ongoing results, and to lead the communication or marketing activities needed to ensure enterprise success and use.


Leads and Collaborates to Deliver D&A Driven Business Outcomes


  • Coordnates a team of data architects in delivery teams (internal and external), while also leveraging subject matter experts from any other needed technical area.
  • Working closely with data office, group tech delivery teams and maisons’ own D&A teams, oversees, or consults on, D&A implementation and modification projects (or products), particularly for new or shared D&A solutions.
  • Ensure that the architecture is used as a lens and a filter to identify, prioritize and execute the data and analytic initiatives with clear line of sight to enterprise strategies and business outcomes.
  • Partners with vendors and SIs on innovative Proof of Concepts (POCs) and delivers working, production-ready reference implementations that can be leveraged easily by agile teams.
  • Aid efforts to improve business performance through enterprise information solutions and capabilities, such as master data management (MDM), metadata management, analytics, content management, data integration, and related information management or information infrastructure components.
  • Works closely with the product managers, product owners and EA peers (e.g., business, integration, cloud, application and security architects) to enable D&A building blocks and related services to support required product needs throughout product lifecycle.
  • Collaborates to provide guidance and assistance on architectural designs, definitions and guidelines to software vendors, internal and external project delivery teams, and GT data platform team
  • Documents necessary enterprise D&A architecture design and analysis work, possibly including project postmortem documentation and metric collection.


The Person


  • Degree in computer science, IT management, system analysis or comparable technology / engineering discipline
  • 12+ years of industry experience, preferably handling data/ BI/ AI architecture roles in complex organization(s), of which 2-3 years should be fulfilling Enterprise Architecture aligned with Data & Analytics domain
  • Proven experience of architecting enterprise data & analytics solutions leveraging latest advancements in data lakes, EDW, BI, data hubs, AI, machine learning, data science, data engineering, NLP, cognitive, real-time analytics etc.
  • Deep understanding and delivery experience of descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics use case
