Role Description 

 

As a Network Architect within our organization, you will be a key figure in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to meet current and future business needs. Your role will encompass: 

• Designing network solutions and strategies aligned with business objectives. 

• Implementing and overseeing the network infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency. 

• Providing technical leadership and expertise to guide network initiatives. 

• Evaluating emerging technologies and recommending their integration into the existing network architecture. 

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network systems. 

As a Network Architect, your responsibilities will significantly contribute to the stability, performance, and security of our network infrastructure. 

 

Reporting Line: You will report to the Head of Network and Systems Management. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

Network Design and Implementation, design and implement network solutions that align with business goals and support growth. 

Oversee the deployment and configuration of network hardware and software. 

Network Security and Optimization, develop and implement network security protocols and procedures to protect against threats. 

Optimize network performance by monitoring and analyzing network traffic. 

Provide technical leadership and guidance to network engineers and IT teams. 

Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment between business needs and network capabilities. 

 

Research and Development, stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends. Evaluate and recommend new technologies for integration into the network architecture. 

 

Skills & Competencies 

 

Proficiency in network design and architecture. 

Experience with network security protocols, firewall management, and intrusion detection systems. 

Knowledge of routing and switching protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, VLANs). 

Familiarity with network monitoring tools and technologies. 

Solid knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles and practices: 

Working experience with ITSM/ITIL as an IT operator. 

Familiarity with Problem, changes processes. 

 

Leadership qualities to mentor and guide team members. 

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 

Strong team player with a curious nature and the ability to seek help when needed. 

Demonstrated experience in a large international environment is advantageous. 

Proficient in technical English (both written and spoken). 

Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to challenge peers. 

Analytical thinking with a result-oriented mindset. 

Education & Certifications 

 

Minimum Higher Diploma, bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent. 

At least 5 years of experience as an IT developer. 

Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCDP, CISSP) are highly desirable. 

Amazon Web Services Practitioner. 

Security Knowledge or Certifications. 

Automation/Scripting Certifications. 

Other Relevant Certifications.
