KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Supervision of Technical Team and Operations
Technical Team & Repairs Management
- Oversee the watch technicians
- Allocate repairs to the technical team and monitor the repair completion date according to Maisons lead-time objective
- Ensure defined interventions and repair flow guidelines are adhered
- Perform random technical check/quality control of repairs done locally by the watchmakers
- Assist in all technical aspect/issues that arises from complaint or difficult cases
- Ensure the Maisons policies, guidelines and technical procedures are well followed
- Organize regular team meetings with watchmakers for technical updates and discussions
- Approve leave applications and update/maintain attendance record for the technical team
- Update the necessary technical reports
- Perform the yearly performance review and define development plan of the technical team.
Maintenance and Organization of the Workshop
- Requisition of operation tools and equipment
- Keep the work environment clean and organized, to carry out repair work effectively & safely
- Ensure proper layout and accessibility of all tools and equipment following 5S
- Ensure all equipment used are calibrated and maintained at a high standard
- Ensure Health & Safety guidelines are followed and adhered: use of PPEs against chemical hazards, chemicals properly stored and labelled in accordance with Richemont and local Health and Safety guidelines.
2. Technical Repair
- Diagnosis: execute Richemont watches & clocks technical evaluation i.e.aesthetical test, functionality test and water resistance test. Identify root cause of problems in accordance with the client request(s). Select the adequate service following the Maisons policies and identify required spare part(s), while meeting the client request(s).
- Dismantle the timepieces and input all parts dismantled into a repair box. Remove the strap or the bracelet, and buckle. Separate movement, dial, hands from the case components
- Perform and complete all repair services (complete service, maintenance service, quick service) within the Maisons lead-time objective
- Perform technical quality control/final control to ensure that the piece is in working order and the aesthetical condition meets clients' request(s)
- If and when necessary, attend to the event(s) requested by the Maisons
KEY RELATIONSHIP
- Functional line of reporting with the Malaysia Customer Service Manager and dotted to the South East Asia Technical Manager
- To liaise and work with external subcontractors
- Liaise and work closely with a dynamic team, with various amazing Maisons
REQUIREMENT
Education:
- High School Diploma
- Completed watch (clocks will be added advantage) qualification on overhauling / WOTSTEP (Swiss) certification
Required Experience:
- Minimum 5 years experience in repair for watches (clocks will be added advantage) and supervisory/team-leader role
Soft skills:
- Well organized and detail-oriented
- Good communication and listening skills, computer skill is a plus
- Self-motivated, positive, reliable
- Hunger for personal growth and development
