JOB TITLE Network Analyst - Infrastructure
REPORTING TO INFRA NETWORK & SYSTEM MANAGER
LOCATION Main working place is Osaka, Osaka Logistics Centerr
MAIN PURPOSE
The Network Analyst is a member of the Japan Infrastructure team. He/She will be located in Osaka. He/she will be responsible for building and maintaining a growing network & Security infrastructure at a regional level. He/She will be in charge of troubleshooting, testing, implementing, administering and supporting enterprise level network. He/she will provide support to the Japan offices and BTQs.
He/She will work closely with the Infrastructure Manager and other members of the team, Project Managers and EMEA Architects, Regional IT Analysts and interacts with global IT community in a complex international environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Solution Expertise
Deliver network integrity, Support and availability across Japan for offices & BTQs
Daily maintenance and problem resolution of all network devices including basic Firewall troubleshooting
Configure, test, manage and maintain LAN (switch, router) configurations
Ensure the recoverability of failed network components through redundancy, backups, process and procedures
Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, standards and procedures
Monitor performance, availability and security of networks
Project Implementation
Work with customers and vendors
Work with other network engineers of the team to support existing customer connections
Provide pre-installation and post-installation technical support
Maintain and periodically participate in testing an existing business continuity/disaster recovery plan
Proactively identify the operational needs and requirements of the users and adjust the technical infrastructure to satisfy those needs
Utilize standard corporate tools to record change and problem activities for tracking purposes
- Support Expertise
Identify, diagnose, and resolve network problems through tickets
Perform root cause analysis, and make recommendations for corrections and improvements
Provide L2/L3 support and work with the Follow the Sun Team
Provide L1 support for the entire infrastructure if needed (eg PC, Printers, Scanner etc).
Receives incidents not managed by L1 support
He/She analyses it and solves it or forward it to Administrator/Engineer/Architects.
Be in charge of BTQ opening/closing/relocation
Be the technical point of contact for our global team from HQ
Interaction:
Interacts with all end-users and global IT community as they deal with all incidents and maintenance. He/She will interact with other IT persons in his area of expertise for support on tickets.
Career Expertise:
- 3-4 years’ experience in Networking
- CCNA networking skills and knowledge of supporting systems within large scale organizations or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Good knowledge of Telecom infrastructure (LAN, MAN, WAN)
- Customer Focus and service oriented
- Team player and work effectively within a global team
- Experience working in a global infrastructure would be an advantage
- Willingness to learn new technologies and maintain industry knowledge
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Technical writing skills and experience documenting procedures
- Business level of English, Fluent level of Japanese (written and spoken)
