Industrial Engineer Internship ( Dallas - Fort Worth local – only candidates)

The Industrial Engineering Internship consists of real work experience, cross-functional learning, and development opportunities. Support the Industrial Engineer in the Logistics Business Solutions group, Aid in complex industrial engineering and continuous improvement initiatives that are part of the regional group logistics team of Richemont Americas (USA, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil).

Primary Duties:

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement efforts by using industrial engineering principles such as, but not limited to time studies, Kaizens, value stream maps, SOP’s, data analysis, 5s, root cause analysis, ergonomics, and safety. EX. time studies for gift wrapping, reverse logistics, picking, packing - Analyze data and support Industrial Engineer with improvement recommendation.
  • Conduct time and motion studies and lead efforts to obtain various metrics throughout the facility with recommendations for process improvement.
  • Support facility re-engineering projects, applying industrial engineering and lean methodologies to the continuous improvement of operational flows and distribution center layouts.
  • Participate in lean initiatives that support continuous improvement such as 5s, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, DMAIC, Root Cause Analysis, etc.
  • Help to lead efforts to implement and deploy new technologies such as AMRs (autonomous mobile robots) to help reduce waste in the operation.
  • Assist operations in change management efforts related to new/updated process flows and procedures.
  • Improve work methods and simplification in performing warehouse tasks to drive efficiency (travel time reduction, non-value-added time, waste).
  • Assist coordination with project team and work with operations team to assure timely completion of projects.
  • Create SOPs for various processes in the facility.
  • Work with EH&S manager on safety initiatives.





  • Pursuing a B.S. degree in Industrial or Manufacturing engineering.

Required Experience:

  • 0 - 1years’ work experience in a logistics or manufacturing operation.
  • GPA: 3.0 or higher.
  • Must be a current junior or senior enrolled in an engineering major (Industrial & Manufacturing preferred).
  • Able to work a full-time schedule throughout the course of our Internship Program
  • Authorized to work in the United States; International students must have a current work visa, Richemont North America will not sponsor work visa’s for summer internships
  • Must be age 18 or older
  • This is a paid internship


Technical Skills / Abilities:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Database, Access, Project) and AutoCAD.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a thirst for learning and finding new and innovative solutions to complex issues.
  • Detail oriented, excellent analytical skills, and demonstrated ability to perform analyses and identify solutions to resolve specific distribution and logistics needs.
  • Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma concepts and applications.
  • A plus - Hands on experience with tools such as screwdriver, wrench, powered drill.
