Import Specialist

Richemont | Grand Prairie TX

 

 

Role Overview:

 

Import Specialist must have technical expertise and in-depth knowledge in all aspects of import and/or logistics management. The Specialist is responsible for supporting Richemont North America, Inc. import activities.

 

Responsibilities:

 

To be successful, an individual must be able to perform each one of the following essential duties satisfactorily:

 

  • Support Richemont North America, Inc. daily inbound operations.
  • Work closely with customs brokers to secure prompt releases from US Customs and Partner Government Agencies (PGA).
  • Verify shipment documentation for proper valuation, classification, country of origin, Other Government Agencies (OGA)/Partner Government Agencies (PGA) requirements, and record retention.
  • Perform special tasks related to import operations as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2 or more years of logistics experience and or College Degree (preferred not required).
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Detail and quality oriented with strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Functional knowledge of MS Access and SAP (preferred not required).
  • Understanding of U.S. import/export regulations including CBP, FWS, FDA, USDA, and BIS (preferred not required).
  • Functional knowledge of import / export processes, controls, and documentation (preferred not required).
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Harmonized Tariff Schedules (HTS) (preferred not required).
  • Functional knowledge of global logistics and Incoterms (preferred not required).
