Export Supervisor

Role Overview

Operational hands-on supervision of all export and Customs activities within the framework of RNA Internal Controls and Compliance Policies

 

Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Richemont policies. Those responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work. Addressing complaints and resolving problems of subordinates.  Serve as the SME and first point of escalation for all Richemont export activity.

 

Responsibilities

  • Hand-on supervision and execution of day-to-day export activities to support RNA operations related to Customs business and other Partner Government Agencies with emphasis in US Fish and Wildlife, US Food and Drug Administration, and US Department of Agriculture.
  • Enforcement of trade policies and procedures to ensure Richemont business is carried out in compliance with all applicable export regulations.
  • Lead and foster an effective high performing team environment.
  • Create and update SOPs for RNA export flows/activity.
  • Recruit and hire for open temporary and permanent export positions
  • Oversee the implementation of processes and strategies to optimize lead time reliability and drive KPI performance.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to ensure KPI achievements.
  • Evaluate escalated shipments to meet compliance standards, timelines, and execution. Serve as subject matter expert for escalations related to US Customs and other government participating agencies.
  • Be the key stakeholder and contributor during projects that have a direct or indirect effect to RNA export activities.
  • Work closely with a variety of internal groups within Richemont, such as product groups, distribution, sales, and logistics.
  • Keeping current with changes in U.S. government export regulations affecting RNA export operations.
  • Assess procedures related to exports and make change proposals that could be beneficial for the business.
  • Maintain a constructive working relationship with business units, management and stakeholders.
  • Keeping current with changes in U.S. government export regulations affecting RNA export operations and remain familiar with changes in Customs laws of the countries we ship to.
  • Foster and maintain productive and professional relationships with customs brokers,3PL’s, and other service partners
  • Daily export oversight for all export activities, across all platforms.

 

Qualifications

Education

  • High School diploma
  • Some college preferred, not required
  • Customs Broker License a plus 
  • Dangerous Goods Certification a plus

 

Required Experience

  • 2-5 years of leadership experience
  • 2-5 years experience in exports
  • Strong understanding of export controls
  • Strong working knowledge of Titles 19 and 49 CFR
  • Proven understanding of USHTS
  • Functional knowledge of US Customs ACE Portal
  • Knowledge of Partner Government Agencies regulations and processes
  • Proven understanding of international transportation

 

Technical Skills/Abilities

  • All Microsoft Office Suite Programs
  • SAP knowledge a plus
  • ACE Direct reporting a plus
  • Power BI experience a plus
  • FTZ experience a plus
