Watch Technician

Role Overview

You will be responsible for preparing watches for sale, that arrive at our logistics hub, having excellent attention to detail, and hitting daily targets and production numbers consistently. You will be a team player and work toward the company’s 24/7 initiative. The role is predominantly technical ,but also working on a computer will be a daily occurrence, assigning and completing jobs, as well as assisting in the testing and quality control when needed.

 

Responsibilities

  • Preparing watches for polish including removing bracelets and bezels from cases
  • Partial disassemble to full disassemble of watches ready for polishing
  • Adjustments of watch bracelets and fitting of straps
  • Fitting of replacement parts to watches
  • Cleaning watches after polishing
  • Starting and completing time service schedules
  • Regulation of watch timing on applicable watches
  • Polishing of watches
  • Battery changes in quartz watches
  • Keeping tools in good working order
  • Observing and abiding by 5s procedures
  • Testing watches prior to purchase
  • Qc testing watches at end of service schedule
  • Timing testing and pressure testing watches
  • Managing workload and hitting daily targets

 

Qualifications

  • Ideally have experience working in a service/technical environment
  • Experience working with watches would be beneficial but training can be provided
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Your extremely conscientious and strive for continuous improvement
  • You’ll be highly organized and capable of managing your own workload
