SUPPLY AND MATCHING/QC SUPERVISOR

 

The main objective of the Supply and matching/QC Supervisor is to make sure that Watchmakers/Technicians are working in an efficient environment with everything they need at hand and that the quality of their works is in the expectation of the different brands policies. Thus, the individual is responsible to ensure that the daily non-technical operations in the workshop are processed in a timely and efficient manner: Matching products with needed spare parts, transferring and organizing repairs, managing Flowbacks, allocating work, managing kit boxes and managing workshop supplies.   This individual is responsible to ensure the quality done by the technical meets the expectation of the brands policies.    In addition to these operational tasks, the Supply and Matching Supervisor is also a key player to support the Technical Management in analysing the workload in order to define necessary action plans.  Perform tasks following accepted industry standard procedures for product repairs

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES                

Operational Management: Supply and Matching:

  • Ensure adherence of team and self to established SOP’s related to all non-technical processes in the workshop, specifically:
  • Match Repairs with Spare Parts
  • Transfer and organize repairs
  • Manage Flow Backs
  • Manage Kit Boxes
  • Manage Workshop Supplies
  • Allocate work to technicians/watchmakers
  • Manage and follow-up Local Subcontractors
  • Ensure adherence to FIFO logic related to work organization.
  • Responsible to drive operational performance in terms of in-task lead-times for Material, Assembling, Ready to Repair and In Repair Tasks.

Manage the workload/Capacity:

  • Run analyses and define action plans/tools to:
  • Plan and Manage the work of the workshop
  • Analyse and challenge the workshop performance (quantitively / qualitatively)
  • Manage the volume of work/capacity/objectives
  • Be part of the ongoing improvement
  • Support the technical Management to define long-term action plans in terms of business needs evolutions/possible lack of resources and/or skills.

Operational Management: QC:

  • Ensure adherence of team and self to established SOP’s related to all technical QC processes in the workshop, specifically:
  • Pressure tests
  • Esthetical controls
  • Functional controls
  • 0h-24h
  • Power reserve tests

Team Management/Development:

  • Responsible for time sheet approval, time off approvals, staff scheduling, and attendance tracking and addressing any associated attendance issues for direct reports.
  • Monitor the productivity and quality of work being performed by the team
  • Escalate performance and/or behaviour issues to Management/HR.
  • Perform bi-annual performance management process reviews along with any individual performance improvement and development plans.
  • Lead by sharing and demonstrating through your behaviour the company policies and procedures in a positive manner.
  • Motivate team and individuals through on- going recognition and feedback on improvements related to customer experience, quality and productivity.
  • Maintain healthy working relationship with team members, understand individual motivators and assist with providing guidance for areas of improvement.
  • Encourage staff development by identifying training/development needs and providing strong coaching and mentoring customized to each direct report.
  • Cross-train the team to increase knowledge to support the growth of versatility and knowledge base of the department.
  • Participate to recruitment process (if applicable).

 
JOB PROFILE  

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics or business analysis or business-related field is a plus or working experience equivalent
  • Team management experience
  • Experience in logistic, with an experience in after sales will be an added value
  • Knowledge in quality
  • SAP and MS Office especially Excel
  • Process oriented
  • High analytical skills and capacity to propose relevant operational actions/decision accordingly
  • Capacity to work in a multiple stakeholder’s environment and very good interpersonal skills
