MAIN PURPOSE

                             

The Junior Business Controller will assist the Regional F&P Manager with all financial matters related to the Maison’s activity in the region, in line with Richemont Group accounting and reporting standards and will be in charge of directly assisting following specific brands within Richemont portfolio. He/she is a key business partner of the Brands’ teams, providing Brand management with all financial information or analysis required to take relevant and appropriate decisions in order to grow their business in the region in a sustainable way.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Under the supervision of the Regional F&P Manager, the main responsibilities of the Junior Business Controller are:

 

Business Partner

  • Work closely with the the Regional F&P Manager and Brand Management in order to provide clarity on all financial matters and therefore facilitate appropriate decision making.
  • Act as a key contact of Brand Headquarters to comment and explain financial performance.
  • Contributes to the development of a financial / internal control culture within the Brands.

 

Budgeting

  • To be responsible of the brands’ budget process, analysis and submission of Budgets and Latest Estimates in the Group’s financial reporting systems, in line with Brands and Group requirements and standards.

 

Month-end Closing and Reporting

  • Working efficiently with the Accounting team, ensuring that all relevant accounting entries are booked properly, in line with IFRS and Group Standards.
  • Deliver timely and accurate monthly reports to the brands (sales & margin reports, detailed P&Ls, Capex, monitoring, scorecards, management reporting, ad hoc analysis) :
  • Calculates accruals compliant with standard accounting rules (IFRS Group),
  • Analyses gross margin and discount levels, and reports any deviation with brands target,
  • Review inventories including ageing and determination of relevant provisions,
  • Prepares and analyses brand P&L (by boutique / department) and balance sheet, and alerts local brand management of any risk or deviation with budget,
  • Follow up main brand costs (communication, selling costs, T&E) and develop new followups
  • Elaborate and distribute brands/boutiques scorecards (or any other relevant report),
  • Ensure correct and timely completion of Group Management Reporting.

 

Internal Control

  • Participate in the implementation and monitoring of Swiss SOX within the subsidiary.
  • Contribute to the formalization or continuous improvement of standard operating procedures and processes.
  • Assist in annual, semi-annual and random stock takes in the Richemont Boutiques.

 

Other / adhoc requests

  • Assist the brand with any specific analysis required from time to time.

 

PROFILE

  • University Master Degree in Finance / Business School / Engineering School
  • 2-3 years of successful professional experience in Finance / Business Controlling
  • High mental agility and ability to deal with complexity
  • Pro-activeness / Innovation ability
  • Communication skills
  • Ability to interact with multiple and different stakeholders with on open mind-set
  • Team player
  • Fluent in English
  • SAP  knowledge is a plus
