Primary Duties

As a member of the HR leadership team for the MEIA region, the Director, People Operations and Analytics is responsible for setting the strategic vision and execution plan across HR Operations, HR Technology, Analytics, HR Compliance, and Payroll. This role is critical in driving operational efficiency, enhancing employee experience, and ensuring compliance with local regulations across diverse and complex markets.
The Director oversees the transition to a regional HR operations model, leveraging shared services to deliver seamless, compliant, and efficient HR processes across the MEIA region. This includes managing HR technologies, supporting data-driven decision-making, and ensuring the smooth operation of payroll, compliance, and HR data management.

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership
Develop and implement a shared service strategy for HR operations that aligns with both regional and global business objectives.
Lead the transition to a regional HR operations model, ensuring the successful integration of processes and systems across MEIA markets.
Partner with regional heads to understand HR needs and provide tailored solutions that meet local labor laws and cultural requirements.
Ensure seamless execution of the HR operations function, focusing on efficiency, scalability, and alignment with local compliance.

 

HR Operations
Oversee the execution of end-to-end HR processes, including onboarding, offboarding, employment paperwork, and data management across the region.
Manage resources, budgets, and timelines while ensuring streamlined communication with stakeholders and leadership.
Ensure compliance with local legal requirements in employment, data retention, and personnel management across MEIA.
Drive the digitization of HR operations, introducing self-service tools and automating transactional tasks where possible.
 

      HR Technology, Systems, and Digital Services

Set and lead the HR technology roadmap for the MEIA region, ensuring systems deliver value to the organization while enhancing the employee experience.
Work closely with regional IT and global HRIS teams to ensure the systems support HR processes across diverse markets.
Drive the adoption of new HR technologies, conducting change management and training to improve digital maturity across the region.
Ensure the secure transfer and storage of employee data, managing access controls and overseeing system integrations.
Provide oversight and support for all HR tools and applications used regionally, such as Workday and other HR solutions.

 

      HR Analytics

Oversee people data management, ensuring accuracy, security, and compliance with local and international regulations, including GDPR.
Develop and implement a data-driven analytics framework, delivering actionable insights to HR leaders and business stakeholders.
Define and track HR KPIs and ensure the deployment and training of reporting and analytics tools.
Promote a data-driven culture within the HR function and broader organization.

     Payroll

Ensure the accurate and compliant execution of payroll processes across MEIA, accounting for the complex payroll structures and local legal requirements.
Manage payroll teams and systems to align with local regulations, ensuring timely payroll reviews and controls.
Oversee outsourced payroll vendors and ensure the processes meet local operational needs.

 

HR Compliance
Ensure adherence to local labor laws, data privacy regulations, and Richemont policies across the MEIA region.
Act as the key HR compliance representative in MEIA, ensuring all personnel matters, data management, and reporting meet regional and international legal standards.
Collaborate with the legal department and Director Employee Relations to monitor adherence to employment policies, including non-compete clauses, confidentiality agreements, and employee contracts.
 
Vendor Management
Manage relationships with external vendors for outsourced HR services, including payroll, visa processing, government relations, and other transactional tasks.
Oversee vendor selection and governance to ensure HR service providers deliver high-quality and compliant services across MEIA.
 
Continuous Improvement
Identify and lead initiatives for process improvements across HR operations to enhance service delivery and employee experience.
Implement best practices for streamlining HR processes, optimizing resources, and increasing operational efficiency.
Regularly review HR operations to ensure alignment with business needs and evolving local labor laws.
 

Qualifications

 

Experience

Proven track record in a senior HR operations role within a large multinational organization, with significant experience managing or setting up HR shared services.

Regional Expertise

In-depth understanding of the MEIA region’s cultural and labor law landscape, including Middle East, India, Turkey, and South Africa.

HR Operations Expertise

Strong knowledge of HR operations, payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations in a regional context.

Leadership

Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders, drive change, and foster a culture of collaboration.

Project Management

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Vendor Management

Experience in managing external providers and outsourced HR services across multiple countries.

Analytical Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to drive operational improvements and optimize HR processes.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in HR systems such as Workday, SAP, or similar HRIS platforms. Familiarity with digital transformation and data security solutions.

Communication

Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English; additional knowledge of regional languages is an advantage.
