Peter Millar & G/Fore – IT Support Manager (Engineer)

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

The IT Support Manager will be a critical member of the Peter Millar UK team, providing timely support of day-to-day Information systems related needs of the company. The IT support Manager will interact and coordinate between functional internal teams and external vendors and will work to build and maintain a positive relationship. The IT Support Manager will be highly organized and respond quickly to new challenges and priorities

IT Systems Support:

  • Provide systems support to the all the functional groups in Peter Millar UK for day-to-day operations, reporting and ongoing projects
  • Partner with department leads to create efficient, scalable processes and formalize systems and internal controls
  • Liaise with the IT group in the US to ensure system outputs are provided timely and validated for accuracy to meet reporting deadlines, troubleshooting issues as needed
  • Document current business processes and ensure systems are being leveraged to fully utilize capabilities and automation
  • Participate in the evaluation and lead implementation of new systems and enhancements / improvements to current systems to support accounting and finance functions
  • Support all finance end users in the use of ERP and Financial applications
  • Manage tasks related to System administration, access control and upgrades in coordination with the Peter Millar US IT department
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their business needs and translate into clearly defined and detailed business systems requirements, including business use cases, process flows, traceability matrices and report mock-ups
  • Monitor project progress, identify, and escalate potential project risks and delays to management
  • Plan and facilitate user acceptance testing and sign-off process with business stakeholders
  • Manage support activities with the 3rd party business partners
  • Provide troubleshooting and first level support for hardware related issues
  • Provide user training materials and create business process documentation

 

HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?

  • Must have experience working in ERP Finance and Distribution applications and understand the impacts of systems data and integrated processes to business processes such as order to cash, procure to inventory management
  • Experience working in consumer goods, distribution and related industries
  • Experience with project implementation methodologies (i.e. Waterfall, Agile ..)
  • Experience with organizations that have international entities a plus
  • Strong initiative to drive improvements and automation in systems and  business processes
  • Highly motivated with positive, entrepreneurial spirit and ability to wear many hats as the Accounting and Finance functions evolve
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing formalized processes and internal controls in a small company or start-up environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with ambiguity, shifting priorities and tight timelines
  • 4+years’ experience as a business analyst, project management support or equivalent role
  • 4+ years’ experience supporting an accounting/finance organization
  • BlueCherry ERP a plus
  • Prior experience with programming tools such as SQL a plus
