CONTEXT

Richemont’s Group Legal Department is recruiting a Junior Intellectual Property Advisor to reinforce a team of 25 people based in Geneva and London and dedicated to the protection of IP assets. As a Junior Intellectual Property Advisor based in Geneva, your role will be to provide IP support to two Lead Intellectual Property Counsels in the management of all IP issues relating to several Maisons of the Group.

 

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
 

  • Assist Lead Intellectual Property Counsels in conducting worldwide searches and clearance checks for potential trademarks and collection names.
  • Assist Lead Intellectual Property Counsels in all tasks relating to trademark, copyright and design rights prosecution in close coordination with paralegals and assistants
  • Assist in daily trademark surveillance checks and subsequent opposition matters.
  • Conduct celebrity clearance checks.
  • Draft and/or reviewing agreements relating to, inter alia, external designers, communication agencies, architects, collaborations with third parties, image rights, celebrity/personality rights, photographers’ agreements, research and development agreements etc…
  • Prepare agreement and documents for digital signatures
  • Assist in reviewing products, and conducting IP clearance checks where necessary (designs, copyrights or other).
  • Assist in reviewing, providing IP clearance checks and advice on all communication materials (whether on or off line)
  • Assist in preparing and followings IP litigations for the Maison(s) worldwide, including collecting evidence with the Maison(s), drafting business to business or cease and desist letters and/or reviewing draft writs and briefs.
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of IP-related training programmes to the various operational teams within the selected Maison(s).
  • Oversee the enforcement work of the subject Maison(s) globally, including all anti-counterfeiting monitoring and actions online.
  • Ensure that documents are produced quickly and accurately (POAs, contracts, letters, e-mails presentations, legalization/notarization)
  • Deal with the payment and processing of invoices in liaison with Accounts department. Checking and approving invoices following SAP process and codification, liaise with agents to ensure proper invoicing
  • Monitor the budget spend and producing quarterly budget reports for relevant Maison(s).
  • Provide assistance in the preparation of all IP-related reports (budgets…)
     

 

HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?


You hold a relevant university degree in Law with a specialization in IP (Intellectual / Industrial Property) or equivalent.

You have between 1 to 3 years (excluding your internship) of experience within a corporate legal environment or within an international law firm. You are fluent in French and English. Another European language will be considered an asset.
