CONTEXT

 

Richemont Group Treasury & Risk department is seeking an experienced Insurance Manager to further strengthen the Group Insurance Team based in Bellevue, Switzerland.

Reporting directly to Head of Group Insurance, the primary responsibility of the role will be to participate in designing and implementing the Group's risk transfer strategy, to provide support and to advise Richemont Maisons in all insurance related matters, as well as to ensure the implementation of the appropriate insurance solutions within the Richemont Group.

As a member of the Group Insurance Team, you will play a key role in the annual underwriting process of the global insurance programs, considering the Group’s current and future business requirements for growth and development.

The successful candidate is expected to be a self-starter and solution oriented with embedded risk awareness approach. The applicant needs to demonstrate a strong ability to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.

This is a global role that requires excellent communication skills (verbal and written), proven track record of achievements in international insurance programs management (P&C), proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (including advanced Excel, Word and Power Point) and strong technical expertise in contracts review and drafting.

 

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

 

You will:

  • Participate in the development of the Group's risk transfer strategy to minimise the long-term cost of risk.
  • Establish the framework for insurance processes associated with risk identification, loss assessment and claims management.

 

  • Assess and analyse Group’s insurance needs while interacting with various Group Functions and Maisons and ensure that relevant insurances are in place.

 

  • Design and effectively implement insurance solutions to protect Group’s asset and liabilities.

 

  • Within Group’s guidelines, manage the Group insurance coverage, notably for Jewellery, Specie and Fine Art.

 

  • Collect qualitative and quantitative data to optimize the underwriting process of the insurance programs and to reduce the cost of risk.

 

  • Develop and enhance the insurance directives, insurance protocols and risk management framework.

 

  • Manage claims in liaison with the relevant internal and external stakeholders.

 

  • Advise on insurance provisions in the contracts. Draft insurance clauses.

YOUR BACKGROUND

  • Relevant university/business studies (insurance, economics, finance, law or risk management)

 

  • Professional Insurance and Risk Management qualifications would be an asset.

 

  • 8 to 10 years of professional insurance/risk management experience in a multinational environment, ideally at the corporate level.

 

  • Proven track record of achievements in management of global insurance programs notably Property & Casualty. Experience in Fine Art, Jewellery & Specie insurance constitutes an advantage.

 

  • Fluent in English and French. Additional language will be an asset.
