Role

The F&A Manufacturing Controller will be part of the Group Business Control Department in Bellevue.  Main responsibilities are to assure a reliable and periodic financial data flow, completed with savvy remarks, to view and anticipate any trend the figures may show. The candidate will also ensure that F&A manufacturing related subjects are compliant with Group and IFRS policies and provide good expertise and guidelines for manufacturing controlling related topics.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Coordinate alignment of F&A manufacturing entities’ financials to Group accounting policies and procedures
    • Assist new entities to adopt Group Framework,
    • Help Maisons to get an industrial controlling set up
    • Provide guidance to entities to streamline their financial processes,
    • Identify and prioritise areas for improvement,
    • Lead enhancements projects to align operational financial processes, KPIs across and within entities.

 

  • Support the Group F&A Industry team in defining and implementing the manufacturing strategy
    • Assist the Group F&A Industry & Services team in assessing the financial implications of strategic projects. Prepare business cases, evaluate impacts, and establish recommendations. Participate in the implementation of projects,
    • Take part in acquisition projects and lead the financial due-diligence, acquisition accounting and post-merger integration,
    • Supervise the controlling teams in Richemont F&A manufacturing entities,
    • Assess and validate F&A manufacturing CAPEX requests.

 

  • Collaborate to the monitoring of manufacturing entities’ performance and ensure compliance of financial statements with Group policies and procedures
    • Analyse manufacturing entities’ financials and ensure compliance with Group accounting policies and procedures,
    • Monitor performance, establish monthly production KPIs and prepare results presentations to management (Manufacturing cockpits),
    • Review standard cost structure,
    • Monitor variances,
    • Carry out Group Other Margin Movements (OMM) summary, providing visibility on key drivers of deviations noted,
    • Prepare F&A MCC monthly executive summary.

 

  • Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts (LE) in collaboration with the manufacturing units and follow-up on variances.
    • Participate in the preparation and presentation of budgets and forecasts (mandatory slides to be prepared and reviewed),
    • In collaboration with the Group Financial Planning and Analysis team, provide targets and recommendations with regards to manufacturing budgets,
    • Final sum-up slides for Analyst presentation.

 

  • Participate in Anaplan and SAP Manufacturing roll-out projects
    • Liaise with Maisons and IT regarding system optimizations and process improvements,
    • Be contact point for any manufacturing subject related to SAP development.

  • Willing to travel in Europe (mostly Italy) (up to 25% annually)

 

Technical Skills

  • Very good understanding of the F&A manufacturing cost elements;
  • Very good knowledge of P&L cost structure based on standards costs and deviation;
  • Knowledge of reporting requirements under IFRS;
  • High knowledge of SAP R/3 (modules CO-FI-PM-PS), BW and SAP Analytics;
  • Knowledge of Anaplan is a plus;
  • Data Analytics and reporting competencies;
  • Knowledgeable in Italian law (labour and corporate law)
  • Familiar with internal control requirements for a manufacturing unit.

 

Background

  • At least 10 years of experience in the controlling field in an industrial environment (in F&A Leather would be a plus)
  • University degree in finance and/or economics;
  • Post graduate degree with specialisation in costing a plus;
  • Fluency in Italian and English (French is a strong plus).
