HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

The flagship boutique manager for Purdey is a key role for the brand is the first touch point that client’s have. The main responsibility of the role is to ensure a strong brand ambassador for both clients within the boutique but also within the local community to ensure business us well represented.

Responsible for achieving retail sales targets and objectives of the boutique; by ensuring that every client that visits the boutique receives the unique Purdey experience, ensuring the entire operation is running in compliance with the companies’ policies, procedures, and standards. Lead, manage and develop the sales team to deliver the highest level of client service and knowledge. Ensure that visual merchandise presentation reflects the brand vision and meets the highest standards. 

SALES & FINANCIAL TARGETS:

  • Developing sales and ensuring an efficient day to day management of the boutique. Applying the sales policy and maintaining the integrity of Purdey’s image, with a strong commercial focus.
  • Communicating sales targets to the team and execute the agreed plan to achieve and exceed monthly sales targets.
  • Leading and supervising sales, providing support to the sales team.
  • Monitor monthly product sell through, gauging trends of best sellers and reacting to stock levels. Equally, monitoring slow moving stock and coming up with commercial solutions for maximizing sales.
  • Be a presence leading on the shop floor, acting as a brand ambassador and role modelling Purdey behaviours.
  • Monitor, coach and provide feedback to the boutique team to deliver excellent client experience.

CLIENT EXPERINCE:

  • Nurture existing client relationships to ensure long standing growth of the business, as well as increasing new clients into the business.
  • Management of other key services such as bespoke/custom made and Aftersales client services to achieve the highest level of standards.

VISUAL MERCHANDISING:

  • Maintain a luxury environment, ensuring excellent execution and maintenance of Visual Merchandising guidelines across the store.
  • Work with the in-store VM to ensure that all window schemes meet company standards. To also work with the window dresser to maximize in store displays. All in store displays to be rotated every two weeks and windows to have 4 major themes a year in line with the Companies vision.
  • Ensure the merchandise is well presented, correctly priced and garments are available in the full range of sizes.
  • To recommend changes to the shop layout and to innovate with displays throughout the year.

STOCK CONTROL:

  • To work with the Warehouse and Logistics Manger to oversee cycle counts, stocktakes and all stock movement.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure the optimum levels of inventory and replenishment in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all stock is presentable when displayed to attract maximum attention.

STAFFING:

  • Lead, inspire and manage a high performing, positive boutique team.
  • Continually elevate the capability of the boutique team through recruitment, staff development, mobility and effective succession planning.
  • Establish a learning culture and maintain a strong connection of the boutique team to the Brand.
  • Produce monthly staffing schedules that ensure proper coverage to provide high levels of customer service and maximise sales.
  • Hold regular staff meetings to ensure staff are fully briefed with company expectations and standards
  • Manage Sales team staffing levels and day to day operations.
  • Working with head of sales and design team to ensure all members of the team have the requirement training for each season, with key hero pieces being identified and marketing material showcased.

SECURITY:

  • Aware of Company and Store Security procedures.
  • Ensure all team members follow these at all times.
  • Aware of how to use tagging & other security systems in store.
  • Ensure that all stock is protected at all times.
  • Ensure all administrative aspects of the job are carried out and completed within the required timelines. Examples are sales reports, health and safety etc.

 

HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?

  • At least 5 – 10 years previous experience in a luxury boutique
  • Experience developing a team
  • Client centric and understands the client  
  • Experience in luxury Ladies & Menswear
  • Excellent eye for Visual Merchandising (windows and in store)
  • Outgoing personality with a strong client focus  
  • Commercially focused
  • MS Office – Intermediate or above
  • Team player 
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Presentable and polished at all times
  • Guide and build a team to ensure that the highest levels of client experience are achieved always in a luxury environment.
  • To achieve weekly, monthly and yearly sales targets.
  • Motivating and helping each sales executive achieve their individual targets.
