JOB TITLE: Watch Marketing Manager

REPORT TO: Marketing & Communication Director

LOCATION: Japan (Hanzomon)

Watch Marketing Manager’s mission is to contribute to maximize sales of the category and enforce brand positioning through product strategy in the Japanese market, translating and optimizing global Maison's strategy in order to fully capture sales and branding potentials through open, forward-thinking communications and collaborations with stakeholders in other departments, boutiques, and HQs. 


Key responsibility 1: Develop marketing strategies and action plans 
- Build yearly product marketing plan in line with global and local activations, proactively engaging with HQs and other departments.
- Play a pivotal role and provide strategic inputs in annual business planning so as to respond to local business challenges and opportunities. 
- Collaborate with Jewelry team to consolidate POVs, e.g. targeting, to maximize synergy and efficiency across product categories. 
- Set up KPIs of key product activations. 
- Identify potential mid to long-term opportunities.


Key responsibility 2: Conduct analysis and reporting 
- Analyze sales trends and performance and suggest action plans to other departments to capture sales opportunities and follow through business target. 
- Study market trends, e.g. competitors’ offering and market expectations, to propose new product opportunities. 
- Keep abreast of marketing environments and share insights covering both macro view such as demographic, economic, technological, and trends as well as micro one such as customers and competitors.  
- Conduct follow-up studies to identify what worked and what didn’t in marketing strategies to improve planning and actions.  


Key responsibility 3: Enhance local presence to HQs 
- Articulate local requirements and growth opportunities so HQs develop products and source inventory to achieve business expectations. 


Key responsibility 4: Work together with other departments
- Provide best product assortments for Retail and Wholesale fairs.  Action includes negotiation with HQs to source inventory and special pieces.  
- Support Communication team in their activities such as product presentations, press release documentation, and copy writing for digital platforms.  
- Collaborate with CRM to develop customer engagement and loyalty programs. 
- Work closely with training function to provide and inspire sale ambassadors with product knowledge.


- 5+ years’ marketing experience with either watch or jewelry category 


Skills required: 
- Fluent in Japanese and English 
- PC skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) 
- Analytical and good with figures
