MAIN PURPOSE

 

The Retail Manager is a pivotal role in ensuring proper and efficient functioning of Piaget boutiques in Saudi Arabia, towards achievement of sales targets, profitability, and overall strategic objectives.

 

  • Extent: Internal (Piaget owned and operated) and external (operated by a partner)
  • Located in Richemont head office in Riyadh, reporting to the Country Manager
  • Creating synergy among stakeholders: office and boutique teams, regional office in the UAE, external partners, and suppliers
  • Liaison with mall operators, contracted services, and Richemont support services
  • Mobility: field work in the boutiques – scouting for retail market dynamics (competition, regulation, opportunities)
  • Full time

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Retail Operations, Standards and Procedures:

  • Apply the brand and Richemont retail guidelines and operational procedures in all boutiques
  • Channel retail guidelines updates to all the network
  • Ensure uniforms, staff appearance, boutique atmosphere and setup are in line with the brand guidelines
  • Audit & stock takes: liaise & facilitate with Richemont Back office and boutique teams
  • Ensure consistency within all boutiques
  • Coordinate with Richemont on application & renewal of all permits for internal boutiques
  • Share best practices with Country Manager and Regional retail team

 

 

Commercial aspects

  • Assist regional CRM manager in harnessing data, analysis, and implementing customer activation plans
  • Monitor clients priorities and KPIs
  • Monitor boutique KPIs (conversion, presentation, retention, acquisitions rates) and recommend corrective / improvement measures
  • Assist boutique manager in the preparation of boutique commercial plans

 

 

Boutiques development and maintenance

  • Support country manager in the project management of boutique openings / renovations/ relocations / internalization / closures including the fit out with Piaget HQ, Piaget regional team, Richemont and partners in MEIA region
  • Maintain rolling 3 year plan for boutique openings / renovations/ relocations / internalization / closures
  • Propose, manage, and coordinate with third party operators / contactors for boutique maintenance, utilities, sanitation and hygiene, IT equipment, HVAC and others
  • Assist boutiques in the process of identifying, forecasting, ordering, and budgeting of external contracted services

 

 

Visual Merchandising:

  • Support regional VM specialist in the application of visual merchandising guidelines in the boutiques and provide reports
  • Optimize storage / stock management of VM material
  • Assist boutique managers in the forecast of VM / gifts
  • Assist boutiques in the order of print stationary and clients gifting
  • Liaise with the local and regional marketing teams in the implementation of activations and events in the boutiques when it requires changes to the boutiques setup or VM
  • Assist in the setup of events when VM is in order

 

 

External Boutiques:

  • Assist in the implementation and application of all retail guidelines and procedures as per internal boutiques
  • Assist in the implementation and application of all visual merchandising guidelines as per internal boutiques
  • Assist the Country Manager and the regional head of wholesale in the implementation of the Piaget Sunrise Kit for external boutiques (guidelines covering boutiques operations from all aspects)

 

 

Budgets:

  • Support in the control of the OPEX / CAPEX budget according to the guidelines
  • Support of the boutiques contracted services costs
  • Support in the control of VM and gifts ordering from regional offices or HQ
  • Coordinate with regional SDP manager

 

 

JOB PROFILE

Education:

University degree

 

Required Experience:

Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar role preferably in luxury goods industry

 

Languages Ability:

Fluent Arabic & English (written and spoken)

French is a plus.                        

 

Behavioral Traits:

Flexible, can-do attitude, ability to multitask, genuine interest in the luxury consumer brands, responsible, time-management, works well in teams, people skills, good communicator, goes the extra mile, curious and well versed in the retail industry.

 

Technical skills / abilities

Solid knowledge of MS Office tools (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)

Mobility (local driver’s license and vehicle recommended)

KSA national or transferrable Iqama for expats
