MAIN PURPOSE

 

Responsible for leading all aspects of store design, planning, renovation, maintenance and reinstatement across NEA & SEA regions for Piaget.

 

It covers all the distribution networks of our Maison: retail, franchise, wholesale multi-brands, travel retail and all types of point of sales: boutiques, shop-in-shop, corners, counters.

 

Providing complete management for the projects ensuring all aspects (time schedule, budget, quality of execution, partnership with local suppliers and contractors, etc...) reflect our brand's prestigious image while enhancing customer experience in alignment with PIAGET headquarters.

 

The position includes regular travelling to visit and monitor prospected locations, ongoing construction projects and existing stores.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Store Planning
    • Assist PIAGET management in meetings, negotiations, to assess technical and budget information related to the projects.
    • Manage the relationship with the brand partners on the project: Department stores / Malls / Landlords / Co-board / etc.
    • Prepare a preliminary schedule for the projects; perform costs estimating and value engineering; supervising all aspects of day-to-day management of construction projects along with the local architects.

 

  • Design and Construction

    • Work, coordinate and gather the necessary information for the projects in cooperation with all PIAGET departments involved in a store opening and store day-to-day life: Retail / Wholesale / Finance / Legal / Operations / Real Estate / etc.

    • Work in coordination with Piaget SDP HQ and the external consultants on the design of the stores.

    • Select, hire, instruct and negotiate costs with consultants (Local Architect, Permitting, etc.) and contractors (General Contractor, Millworker, etc.) in transparency with the Financial and Procurement Department.

    • Oversee and ensure the respect of the timetable for all phases of the project, including programming, design, development, construction, purchase orders (deliverables including brand supplied items), opening and maintenance.

    • Develop and administer project budgets and fiscal controls, contract and quality control; check the correct process of payment and resolution of litigations.

    • Monitor and coordinate work performed by field staff and construction firms; ensuring that project operations follow design specifications and regional policies and regulations, while ensuring that brand requirements are met.

 

  • Maintenance

    • Organize the interventions of planned and reactive maintenance including regular control, ensuring that the quality of the store is within the standards of the Brand guideline.

    • Oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment (structural, electrical, plumbing, equipment repair or replacement).

    • Coordinate with the local Richemont security departments to ensure the comfort, well-being and safety of company personnel and clients (health and safety requirements according to local regulations).

    • Follow up and monitor the realization of scheduled maintenance contracts (air-conditioning, fire extinguishers annual check contract, etc.)

    • Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues (water leaking for instance) as they arise and deal with solutions and repairs.

    • Visit the stores every month and make the reporting of his/her activities to the line manager and the Retail team.

 

 

PROFILE

 

  • Experience

    • 5-year experience in Architecture and Retail

    • Experience required in Luxury Business and/or International major fashion companies

 

  • Education

    • Bachelor / Master in Architecture Degree or Construction Engineering

 

  • Technical competencies

    • Analytical and project management skills; written, verbal, presentation, interpersonal and teamwork

    • CAD skills: Autocad, 3D visualization, Photoshop

    • Sketchup, Illustrator and InDesign it’s a plus
