In line with Maison’s long-term strategy, the Country Manager is responsible for sales and distribution of the brand in the country. Responsible for proposing and implementing a coherent strategy for the country, he/she ensures that Retail, Wholesale, Marketing, Communication, Operations and People Management are at the level required to grow the Brand presence in his/her region. Reporting to the Brand Regional HQ in Singapore, the Country Manager also informs Regional HQ of specifics and needs and liaises with Richemont Shared Service structure for the Region.


Main Responsibilities:


Retail / Wholesale local strategy:

Proposes and implements a retail and wholesale strategy for the country, in order to achieve annual sales objectives. Monitors retail network by locating, negotiating, building, opening new Boutiques and closing as needed. Ensures that retail locations are cost effective, establishing the wholesale strategy by choosing appropriate dealers, and coordinates its implementation and smooth coordination amongst different parties. The incumbent will be also responsible for any external boutiques and duty free where applicable.


Commercial targets:

Achieve sales objectives set by the management. Develop and support POS in the region to achieve outstanding results (sales, pricing/ discounting, accessories, stock management, merchandising, product know-how, sales skills, service and customer service issues)


Stock Management:

Ensure stock availability on POS level, according to the brand’s guidelines. Allocate stock regionally to retailers. Manage and rebalance stock levels across physical inventories within retailers if necessary


Marketing & Communication strategy:

Establishes and implements local marketing & communication strategy and associated budget, to promote the Brand in the country. Proposes and monitors local marketing initiatives and programs, proposes the local communication strategy and defining adequate split among different media. Creates and hosts appropriate events, representing the Brand in the different communities.


Budget & Operations

Proposes and implements an annual budget and is responsible for P&L in the

Country towards Regional HQ. Monitors the right implementation of budget expenses and follows-up of the retail and wholesale sales, proposing corrective actions if necessary.

Ensures that Brand’s customer service and repairs are done in a timely manner. Manages these processes using the support of Regional Shared Services, if appropriate. Ensuring that appropriate reporting is provided to Headquarters, in terms of sales analysis and finance.


Key Performance Indicators:

- Monthly and annual sales target achievement

- Permanent occupation of the best positioning in the external and internal windows of POS

- Actions done in partnership with the dealers for promoting Officine Panerai (events, visibility)

- Level of relationships increase with dealers network in order to obtain the best Brand visibility and ROI

- Reporting to the Brand about competitors, market trends, market evolution


Knowledge and Professional skills:

- Bachelor’s Degree in business related field

- Strong Communication and negotiation skills

- 3+ years’ experience in a management position

- Availability to travel and eventually be relocated in another country in the future

- Analytical skills (able to analyze, assess data, determine trends and opportunities,  identify problems  and suggest   solutions)

- Curiosity, proactivity, sense of excellence and passionate from the luxury world

- Fluent English, Italian/French are a plus
