JOB TITLE:    Retail Area Manager
LOCATION:    BEIJING
REPORTING LINE:     China Panerai Retail Director 

 

POSITION SUMMARY:
This role is in charge of the development and management Panerai Retail network performances in North China, based in Beijing. He/She represents the Retail leader in Beijing.

He/She is in charge of the achievement of sales target in all North China boutiques set by the top management.  

 

ACTIVITIES:
- Definition of the short and middle term strategy for the North China under his/her responsibility, in accordance with the Retail Director’s job objectives

- Setting up and implementing North retail team members’ KPI and achievable target  

-  Organization and management of North retail team members and assigned tasks by Retail head

-  Protection of the brand relationships with Malls, 
-  Complaint cases solving and coordinating with related 3rd party

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

1.    Achieve the north area boutiques P&L objectives 
•    Define with China MD and Retail Director sales objectives and key elements of P&L (salary, expenses)    
•    Monitor Daily Boutique Performances and follow-up of sales and reporting to Retail Director, analyze and evaluate product sales results, collect and provide qualitative feedbacks
•    Control discount to clients (Brand strategy, action plans)
•    Assortment: handle model stock and management pieces allocation to boutiques, transfer if necessary, monitor the replenishment    
•    Handle exhibitions and boutique sales events

 

2.    Boutique management: provide the prestige environment and level of service
•    Ensure boutique operation’s management according to Panerai standards
•    Store Planning support & Ensure smooth opening of new boutiques, supervise product/display material order, visual merchandising, staff recruitment/training and other boutique opening procedures, handle budgets related
•    Merchandising: control and optimize windows displays according to international guideline 
•    Boutique environnent maintain, conduct boutique environnent improvements
•    Service: propose and conduct service improvements in Panerai boutiques
•    Be warrant of the boutique procedures (inventory, administration, procedures, …)    
•    Build & Maintain good relations with local landlords or Department Stores management to increase visibility & sales.

 

3.    Team Management: manage the managers, train and animate the sales team
•    Implement the retail team strategy defined at Area level 
•    Provide detailed product information and knowledge training to boutique staff
•    Provide sales estimate for new product launch
•    Boutique Mystery Shopping Survey and Action Plan        
•    Boutique staff: handle recruitment and changes    
•    Integration and training: coordinate and define training program with Training Manager (products knowledge, competences)    
•    Set objectives to boutique managers and conduct yearly evaluation    
•    Animation. Conduct monthly boutique managers meetings    
•    Follow all retail team performance and contribute to improve    
•    Handle the budgets related
•    Handle boutique support: staff uniforms & grooming, sales tools, boutique equipment

 

4.    Clients management: conduct CRM actions, prospect VIP, bring new traffic    
•    Coordinate customer service in boutique: catalogues, operation procedures, SAV care and follow up…
•    Supervise direct mailing to retain existing customers
•    Retail gift management with Marketing Department    
•    Retail events: participate to concept definition and organization for boutiques    
•    Database: be the warrant of the database (quality and quality)    
•    CRM: implement the relational plan, monitor CDB inputting and maintenance process
•    Prospecting new VIP: define strategy and prospect personally potential VIP clients    
•    Propose and conduct action plans for traffic increasing (cross-marketing, partnerships,…)    
•    Analyze CRM actions (ROI, correcting actions)
•    Handle the budgets related to CRM  

 

JOB PROFILE (FOR RECRUITMENT PURPOSE ONLY)
-    Preferred university degree and above or equivalent qualification
-    Solid retail management experience in the international brands; relevant industries experience, i.e., watch or jewelry, preferred..
-    Fluent Chinese and English speaking and writing. 
-    Good interpersonal / management skills, be able to work with teams and coordinate with other departments locally
