JOB PURPOSE:                                                                              

You are responsible for developing and executing the sales merchandising strategy of Southeast Asia & Oceania for all product categories (Leather Goods, Writing instruments, Watches, and Tech products). This role will create and review analysis of merchandise at point-of-sale level (internal & external boutiques) and propose results-oriented actions, supervising product flow and communicate corporate strategies to the network.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Translate the brand and commercial strategy of the Maison into concrete merchandise and assortment planning.
  • Understand the current network and design a boutique classification based on quantitative and qualitative criteria to define which product offer should be present in which boutiques including launch planning.
  • Provide regular qualitative, quantitative analysis. To share market needs to the HQ Sales Merchandising team for future product development.
  • Definition of OTB and OTS in collaboration with Supply chain and Retail
  • Point out local needs including competitor analysis and input these for consideration in global strategy
  • Follow up of the performance in defining reporting tools and managing KPIs relating to sales, volume, as well as stock allocated to boutiques.
  • Ensure successful launches through 360 coordination with Retail, Marketing, VM, Supply Chain and Training.
  • Collaborate efficiently with relevant internal stakeholders to optimize stocks and ensure guidelines are carried out to support sales.
  • Support and oversee existing and new boutiques operating in markets to ensure correct implementation of the Sales Merchandising principles.
  • Identify key areas for development in underperforming point-of-sales.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree in Business, ideally with Marketing or Sales focus
  • Min. 6 years professional experience in relevance to Merchandising is preferred; regional experience would be highly advantageous
  • Strong product sensibility and deep knowledge of the competitive landscape
  • Experience in luxury goods and within the fashion industry is preferred
  • Capable of quantitative analysis with a proven ability to work with numbers
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross functional teams
  • Time management skills and ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadline
  • Good understanding of Retail and Supply Chain management
  • Good understanding of the leather goods industry is a plus
  • Willingness to travel across the region and to Europe
  • Good knowledge of SAP ERP, Business Warehouse systems, and MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. Anaplan and APO knowledge is a plus
