Title :    Senior Merchandising Manager
Location :    Shanghai China
Reports to :    Supply Chain Director
Subordinate:    1 Merchandising Manager, 1 Merchandiser, 1 Order Management Administrator
    
Main Purpose:

To lead the overall merchandising capability for Montblanc China, including retail, wholesale and ecommerce.  
Focus on merchandising strategy, assortment planning, buying strategy and market trend study. 

Duties and responsibilities:

Merchandise Strategy:
1.    Partner with HQ merchandising team formulating an assortment strategy that is consistent with overall business strategy.
2.    Defines and leads the development and execution of the key business drivers ( key items and stores) in China
3.    Manages the proper execution of strategy in China with partnership with retail and wholesale team; takes appropriate action when necessary.
4.    Works closely with the team partners retail and wholesale team to ensure they are aligned with the merchandise strategy and executing appropriately.
5.    Evaluates ongoing performance with Key members and take action as appropriate.
6.    Develops product transition plan and product strategies in China. 
7.    Monitor performance on new products and determines further opportunities based on results.
8.    Interprets trends appropriate to China customers.  
9.    Creates category / collections level sales plan by location for China.
Buying:
1.    Ensures accurate and timely completion of buying budget at category level for China.
2.    Maintains purchase orders to manage forward buys in-line with inventory targets.
3.    Provides ongoing feedback and information to team members on sales results, competitive practices, and delivery issues with HQ and vendors, and other specific information which could impact the performance of the business.
•    Identify and prioritize sales opportunities including plan to execute;
•    Monitor and report on top selling items, provide recommendations for improvement and ensure the follow up;
•    Deliver regular channel insight report to share with both channel
•    Maintain up-to-date records for the stock receipts, stock holding, and stock for sale etc. information for management’s review.
•    Supervise 70 POS WS sales , 50 RTL BTQs and ecommerce on merchandise replenishment for all shops to ensure shops are properly merchandised
•    Coordinate with visual merchandising and retail operations department to ensure that all shops are presented to customers in line with the Company’s policy.
•    Compile and submit all necessary sales, inventory, forecasts, budgets, etc. information as may be required by management from time to time.
•    Provide merchandising related training to retail & WS staff 
•    Anticipate and manage all major/critical product supply details; Alert stakeholders on risk and propose solutions to mitigate.
•    Resolve issues within a timely manner while working to continuously create and or improve internal and external processes and procedures;
People Management
1.    Supervising one Assistant Merchandising Manager 
2.    Coach retail team (Area Managers, Boutique Managers and Assistant Boutique Managers) and ecommerce team in right stock assortment;
3.    Coach and motivate WS team to educate dealers in right stock assortment;
4.    Identify technical and development needs of internal/external stakeholders, create and execute plans to increase their skills.


Qualifications: 

•    Degree holder in business administration / planning management /merchandising;
•    At least 8 years’ experience in Merchandising supervisor or above
•    Industrial relevant is important;
•    Strong data analysis skills
•    Good interpersonal & communication skills, independent, friendly and outgoing;
•    Strong problem-solving and meticulous, able to work under pressure with minimal supervision, Highly self-motivated and directed, detail-minded;
•    Strong analytical skills to identify the root cause
