Trade Manager (m/f/d) – On-Site Merchandising & CRO

On-Site Search Optimization:

  • Manage and optimize the on-site search experience, including refining search algorithms, implementing redirects, and creating effective synonyms for improved search accuracy.
  • Analyze search data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement to enhance product discoverability.
  • Collaborate with product teams to ensure accurate tagging and categorization for better search results.

 

Merchandising Strategies:

  • Develop and execute on-site merchandising strategies to maximize sales and customer engagement.
  • Regularly update product assortments on key pages (home, PLPs, category pages) based on data-driven insights and commercial priorities.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (content, UX, marketing) to align merchandising initiatives with brand campaigns and promotions.

 

Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO):

  • Own the CRO strategy by running A/B tests, analyzing customer behavior, and implementing changes to improve the user journey.
  • Use insights from tools like Google Analytics or Contentsquare to recommend and implement optimizations.
  • Collaborate with the UX/UI team to enhance site usability, improve navigation, and streamline the checkout process.

 

Performance Reporting & Analysis:

  • Monitor site performance using analytical tools and provide weekly reports on key metrics (conversion rates, bounce rates, click-through rates).
  • Track the effectiveness of merchandising changes and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Develop dashboards for real-time tracking of search and merchandising KPIs.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner closely with marketing, trading, and content teams to ensure alignment across all digital initiatives.
  • Work with tech teams to ensure seamless implementation of technical improvements and issue resolution.
  • Advocate for merchandising and CRO improvements based on customer insights and data-driven recommendations.

 

You’ll have

 

  • 4+ years of experience in e-commerce site merchandising, on-site search optimization, or CRO roles (preferably D2C).
  • strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools like Google Analytics, Contentsquare or similar platforms.
  • experience using on-site search management tools (Algolia, or similar).
  • A/B testing experience and familiarity with testing platforms (AB Tasty, Optimizely, VWO, Google Optimize).
  • excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • project management skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • fluent English skills and preferably one other European language (particularly German)
